Pecker played it safe. He published this as rumor so he couldn’t be sued.

You are the ones repeating meaningless slogans.

As Trump said.. “I know words, I have the best words..”

The scripture was meant for those who are bringing false allegations against Cruz but could also apply to some of the posters here who advance those lies. I still think Cruz is a good man and moral conservative.

Apparently, this is coming from Rubio’s people. Which may explain why Rubio was not open to a unity ticket with Cruz.

You should realize they’ve a large contingent of lawyers on staff providing review of any investigative reporting; which, pass judgement as to an article having sufficient factual grounding, to withstand a court challenge.

Gawker is facing a judgement of 125 million, pending an appeal, based on an unauthorized release of a sex video and associated privacy issues.

No publishing operation of controversial content, will risk their continued operation, without sufficient documentation backing their claims.

If the title fits .... Cruz has his lackeys Roe, Beck, Carpenter, et al. do the dirty work and then when confronted with their misdeeds, he plays Mr Innocent. It is common fact that Rubio had the goods on Cruz for some time. So did Brietbart. I had even read stories last year that he and Kate Pierson were an item. Google it and check out the dates. So instead of going after the NE, Ted tries to deflect the story and place blame on Trump in an attempt to become the victim. This story was destined to come out with Brietbart saying they were sitting on it. This is just one example of his disingenuous. I have seen enough of his press conferences after the primaries to realize that he lies repeatedly a out Trump by taking things out of context.

They wrote in the article that everything was just a rumor. They’re covered legally.

This Cruz story of affairs has been around for a while and was first in the hands of the
Rubio campaign sometime back.

snip
Cruz fired back on Friday, charging that the piece was baseless and that the Enquirer was
taking its marching orders straight from “Donald Trump and his henchmen.”

The truth behind the rumor-mongering, however, is a little more complex. A half-dozen GOP
operatives and media figures tell The Daily Beast that Cruz’s opponents have been pushing
charges of adultery for at least six months now—and that allies of former GOP presidential
hopeful Marco Rubio were involved in spreading the smears.

I’m 100% convinced someone is innocent until proven guilty...or there is at least significant evidence. There’s no reason to even discuss if Cruz had affairs until we’ve seen some evidence. Why aren’t we discussing Trump wearing a ski mask and stealing purses from little old ladies instead? Or Trump’s actual adultery that he’s admitted to?

The Trumpsters want to expand the base with crossover Democrats and kick the actual Republicans out of the party. What a stupid strategy and one destined to fail.

Cruz’s birth certificate as well as his mother’s have been on the internet for months.

I'm curious how you know this to be true. When you have a moment please post proof / link / something... to support your assumption. Thanks.

I’m 100% convinced someone is innocent until proven guilty...or there is at least significant evidence.

No no no. That's for law, and before you convict someone and remove their individual rights.

We're (I mean you and me - the electorate) not putting Cruz in prison.

If these allegations are totally false, we'll know in a couple weeks. IN the meantime, if God came up to you right this minute and said 'Jedi, you must right now make a bet on whether Cruz is at least partially guilty of these accusations, and if you are wrong, all your relatives die" ... then what you are telling me right now is that under no circumstances, unless you had direct proof, would you say "you know I don't have direct evidence, but there IS evidence, maybe it's weak and fraudulent, but I believe this guy is capable of this"

This isn't a courtroom. In a way, it's more important. Cruz doesn't have a right to the presidency, or my support. I don't need proof that he did this. I need to make a choice about whether I can trust the guy or not. I can afford to be wrong about it if I could have trusted him, but I can't afford to be wrong if I shouldn't. So ... that's the burden of proof in an election.

The problem for Cruz is somehow, rightly or wrongly, people find him smarmy, arrogant, inauthentic, untrustworthy. That part of it had nothing to with Trump. I heard and read a lot of and about Cruz before I first saw him speak. Loved him. Then I heard him ... "this guy strikes me as a phony' was my first thought. His mannerisms, speech cadences, pauses ... it's like he's a bad actor reciting lines.

Maybe he's just clumsy on stage, not that social, and maybe all of the many allegations ... the Carson thing, the leaflets, amnesty stuff, the women -> maybe it's all false.

I don't have the luxury of waiting for courtroom evidence, but I'm not convicting him of anything. I just don't trust him. I could be wrong.

But based on Cruz's positions, he should have been able to lock up this nomination in 2 seconds. WHAT IS IT ABOUT HIM that has so many people distrusting him - even long before Trump entered and they started going at it?

That’s why two of the people named are prominent TV spokeswomen for Cruz.

Let me tell ya what really happens with Republicans:

I was at a TX State Convention waiting for some friends outside the main hotel where most of the party activities were centered from. As I am standing there, two obvious hookers walked past me out the door and I heard one of them complain to the other saying: "You can't get any business with these guys."

Now that is not to say that some do not engage in unto wards behavior, but when hookers are complaining what do you think that means?

That means that Trump and Stone and Pecker had to really put on their thinking caps to roll out a doozy.

Trump is lying.

Oh, you’re referring to the ones that are irrelevant. CRUZ’s mother denounced her citizenship.
Therefore CRUZ was never a U.S. citizen. When he denounced his Canadian citizenship he became a man without a country. He is hiding his records.
