A Triumph by Trump Looking More Likely In Logic of Democracy
NY SUN ^ | March 24, 2016 | By CONRAD BLACK

If Mr. Trump or anyone else gets 51% of the vote in each district, he takes all the delegates from the state, not 51% of them. This will not happen, of course, but given the wind in his sails now, and the fact that he won four-candidate races in Florida and Illinois by nearly 20 and nearly ten percentage points, there is no reason to doubt that he will wrap this up with California, where he has a large lead (as he does in New York).

The last refuge of the Trumpophobes is the argument that Hillary will hammer Donald. I don’t think so. She has never faced a serious opponent and has advanced to her preeminence by shadowing her husband, yet being distinguished from him by her victimhood. It has been a skillfully calculated advance from Birnam Wood to Dunsinane, interrupted by President Obama’s hijacking of the Clintons’ party for the overdue shattering of the color-bar.

But now, all her falsehoods, her absence of a real public record, her working both sides of the street as a feminist and a wronged woman, the profligacies of the Clintons, and the American public’s boredom with the Bush-Clinton era, will come home to roost. Donald’s limitations are obvious and have been more than adequately decried, but no one should doubt that he will throw everything that isn’t nailed down at Hillary Clinton and carpet-bomb the country with well-placed negative advertising through October.

“Obviously the 20,000 plus attending every rally she has says something....”....

The fat hag couldn’t get that many people to attend one of her “rallies” even if they added all who attend ALL of her rallies. Time for her fat behind to be in jail.

But not with the same women, as far as we know.

If Bill is playing to crowds of 100 and Chelsea does a room of 50, where are her crowds of 20,000? She can fill a high school gym but no one has talked about the traffic mess her rallies create.

If Trump has any chance of beating her, someone needs to take away his Twitter account ASAP. Then hire some pros to help him with his campaign. He needs to go back to the issues of illegal immigration and the fact that our leaders insist on flooding the country with more Islamic “refugees” regardless of their background. This behavior that him and Cruz are engaging in is hurting both of them but him more and it’s helping Hillary and Obama.

Right now, I see Hillary as the next CIC unless Trump makes a massive 180 in his behavior and how he reacts to anyone whose critical of him.

Trumpers love what he’s doing now but the general public is noticing this

Hillary shouldn’t even be anywhere near the WH but the fact that she is beating him in every poll right now and has lower negatives should be taken as a warning sign.

He needs to be the happy warrior but still call out the Dems and her just as Reagan did in 1980.

As of right now, there’s more than a few of us who are considering just staying home on election night

Yup. No where in the Declaration of Independence, nor in the US Constitution is the word "democracy" mentioned.

Furthermore, people Pledge Allegiance to our Flag and never consider the words they are reciting.

I agree to a certain extent. Trump is a planner and a strategic thinker. He's clearing the field now and will hammer The Beast when he wins the nomination. The public's retention span is typically a couple of weeks. Most of the crap in today's news will be forgotten when Trump embarks on hitting The Beast this Summer. Hopefully he'll work with Newt in finessing his plan. Remember, Trump is selling his brand as a successful business man who will clean up DC and gut spending and stramline the Federal government with eficiencies.

Furthermore, The Old Post Office renovation will be finished (two years ahead of schedule) a few months before the election. He will leverage that success and it will act as a catalyst in winning the Presidency.

Trump has plenty of material to use on a personal and family basis too:

I agree about the teenaged girl twitter rants. They are so juvenile and mean. Also his personal tirades on people are unbecoming.
If he can straighten up a bit, it will be smooth sailing. (I hope). I really hope for Cruz though.

Everything you wrote depends on what Trump does.

If he continues his Twitter Wars , telling female journalists they’re bleeding out of who knows were, whining over any criticisms that come his way ect in the general election, well, then get ready to say President Clinton for four years.

I get the rough and tumble of a primary fight. But for now, it’s hurting him badly.

But we’ll see. I don’t believe the public wants to elect Hillary. If they do, it’ll be only because of what Trump does during the general.

Hillary is landslidable

I utterly disagree. What Trump showed was that he can get inside Ted's head but good. He has reduced him to a raving nutter. Ted totally lost it.

Back during cold-war submarine ops, this kind of hazing of members of the crew went on all the time. It served a purpose. We were in a lot of really tense situations and you wanted to know that the guy on sonar listening for bad guys could be counted on to be totally focused on finding bad guys and not lose it because of some trivial stuff. When you tried to see what would shake loose and nothing shook loose you left the guy alone and moved on.

The trouble is that Trump has shaken loose a lot of stuff.

That’ll work in the primary season

The jury is still out if it’ll help or hurt in the general election. We’ll see
