The French Parliament also has a similar bill wending its way through to law. . . and either of these will destroy the ability of people through out the world to have security in their financial transactions and mobile devices. The hackers will love them.

Encryption is a binary thing. Either it is secure, or it is not. If you allow a backdoor for the governments of the world, you allow a backdoor for the bad actors of the world as well. There is no other option.
