GOP leadership refused to negotiate for screening of Muslims being brought into the U.S. They said that the Democrats refused to discuss the issue and that the Republicans just gave in.
No wonder the GOP establishment is so angry with Trump.

To slightly amend a freeper comment on Ryan et al’s tough negotiating stance vis-a-vis Obama, they held out for everything he wanted but not an iota more.

After Paris, Brussels, and San Bernadino, if the GOP cant find the stones to approve a bill requiring Middle East moslem import people to be screened, the party is utterly useless.
Thankfully, a president has extremely wide authority to exclude entire nations or groups from being given visas. Trump is on the way.

It’s okay - Syrian refugees won’t be living in their neighborhoods.
If you racists were smarter, you’d know that.
Now go your taxes. These people who hate you need the money. :)

GOP Rep: GOP Leadership Failed to Negotiate Syrian Refugee Screening in Omnibus Bill"GOP LEADERSHIP" - a perfect oxymoron.
They were probably in too much of a rush to get to happy hour or a cocktail party or meet with a lobbyist with a briefcase full of cash. They couldn't be bothered with protecting us peons.

They promised me that they were going to have it in there and that they would fight for it and when it didnt get in there I asked them, they said it was a non-starter with the Democrats, Babin told Stephen K. Bannon on Sirius XMs Breitbart News Daily. There was no negotiation with the Democrats what-so-ever that would wound up with that in there they told me. It might have resulted in a government shut-down which the donor class has directed must never happen again.
