Cruz on Trump aide: 'Of course' I'd ask him to resign

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said if Corey Lewandowski worked for him, he would ask the campaign manager to resign.
"Of course," Cruz said in response to the question by Anderson Cooper during a CNN town hall Tuesday on whether he'd ask the embattled aide to resign.
"It shouldn't be complicated that members of the campaign staff should not be physically assaulting the press," he said. "That shouldn't be a complicated decision."

So I ask you, what was in Michelle Field’s left hand? A lollypop? A syringe full of arsenic? A knife to slit Trump’s throat? All while posing as a reporter? I guess when you are so gullible to swallow Teddy’s misscharacterizations, you are gullible enough to think Trump was in no danger.

That is nothing but idiotic fantasy. He reached in front of a secret service agent to grab Fields. It is and was that secret service agent's job to access threats and deal with them. That agent obviously decided that Fields was not an eminent threat. Lying "I never touched you" Lewandowski had no legal authority to be grabbing anyone and that is exactly why the charges on Lying "I never touched you" Lewandowski will stick and he is screwed big time.
Trump stands by his people.
Cruz would throw them to the wolves.

You can tell Trump staff believe in their boss. Even Katrina Pierson has changed. She seems much more confident. They see the kind of man their boss is a leader and someone who leaves no one behind. Trump’s staff loves him for that.
The Secret Service agents also know this. Trump is loyal in this way and will defend them. That is why the secret service agent is sticking up for Trump in the Fields ridiculous nonsense. That is such a non story. The Fields deal is like a woman screaming bloody murder because she split a nail.
Police, armed services, secret service are taking note of how Trump is defending Corey. That is the mark of a fair world class leader.
This field stupid nonsense is a blessing in disguise that shows the world what kind of a fair man Trump is and that is held in high esteem with the majority of the voters. After all if Trump sticks up for Corey, he will stick up for America first.
So, with my idiotic fantasy, I ask you: If you saw something that looked like a threat to Trump, in the hand of an unknown person, would you stand there and look stupid? Maybe he saw something in her left hand that the Secret Service missed. Was it a knife? Was it a syringe full of poison? In the split second world of disaster, there is no time to figure out if the Secret Service will take care of it or, should you. With your thinking, that’s how people get killed.
Lewandowski was Trump’s campaign manager and he took responsibility. What if Trump was your father? If you thought you saw something wrong, I am sure you would grab that arm and make sure the hand was not hiding something of a threat. And, if it was, you would take action.
We all have the authority, if we can, to defend another man’s life. This is not vigilante justice. It is just common sense.
I would certainly not want to work for Ted Cruz! He’d throw you under the bus in a heartbeat.
No need for ridiculous fantasy scenarios, the video shows the secret service agent was right there.
That Secret Service guy must have missed seeing what Lewandowsk saw. Lewandowsk had no time to determine what the S.S. saw or did not see. He had to react immediately. It is the real world and the S.S. is not perfect. To think they are is inviting disaster.
That is fantasy kook babbling. The secret service agent was in a much better position to see. Lying “I never touched you” Lewandowsk simply did not want the reporter asking a question.

There was lots of people filing out of rows of chairs, making it hard for the S.S. to regroup around Trump and keep their eye on all the people moving around. It looked pretty chaotic for those trying to protect Trump as he was moving out of the hall. I think Lewandowski acted as part of the security team. We may find out in the court hearing what was going through his mind. I say that Lewandowski saw something wrong in Field’s hand and made a spit second effort to mover her out of range from Trump. It was reported that two S.S. Agents told Fields to move away from Trump.
In the last part of the video, I saw Cory in front of Washington Post reporter Ben Terris, holding his arm out to impede his progress. I think Fields and Terris were working together to get some kind of response from Trump. Terris leaned out in a confrontational manner towards Lewandowski but that situation quickly diffused. After Fields and Terris had been effectively moved aside by Lewandowski, four S.S. maneuvered behind Trump in a wall.
The video shows that there is a major effort to make sure Trump is protected in these crowds. You know, it was how Robert Kennedy was assassinated, as he was moving down a pantry corridor crowded with people.
I’m appalled at the dishonesty of Cruz and Kasich. There is no way that what is pictured in that video is assault by any stretch of the imagination of an honest person. The man passed in front of the lady and it took approximately a second. There is no way there is any assault shown in that video.
This is just another of the coordinated attacks between media and candidates to injure Trump right before a primary vote.
What’s shown on that tape is not even a FOUL in professional basketball.

His legal degree has been utilized primarily for self advancement. Cruz is a political animal first and foremost. The law is just a tool......would be interested to see the sum total of his pro bono work.

Because of my job I was just in the wrong places a lot of different times over 25 years. Because I was responsible for the safety of my crew I tried to position myself in front. We often arrived ahead of the police. This meant that I was the first to come into contact with a lot of psychos.
When you are dealing daily with real victims of crime, it puts a few bruises inflicted by idiots in perspective. The legal system is challenged enough without people abusing it by trying to charge someone just doing their job with a crime. The thing that surprises me the most is the so called conservatives here attacking Corey Lewandowski and supporting this BS from Michelle Fields. There are those who I used to respect who I will never take seriously again. They have displayed a shocking amount of hypocrisy.
Thank God that Trump is a man who respects and honors the men and women in law enforcement, military, and emergency crews such as yourself.
What you just explained about the dangerous contact you had with psychos as part of your job is something that is not widely known. Thank you for explaining it.
BTW, are there any good books out there that tell some of the real stories of firemen like yourself?
