I’m not criticizing your actions, but that’s something I don’t get about the “won’t vote GOP for anything” mindset.

If people do that, Democrats will be in charge of EVERYTHING. House, Senate, state offices, you name it. Do you WANT these people in charge? It’d make life a living hell (not that we’re all that far away from this point anyway).

I really believe that if the Witch gets in, she’s going to go berserk on her ‘enemies’ and it could get really bad for people who have spoken out against her....like just about everyone on FR.

I’ll join.We should also encourage Bernie to go third party. That would really make it interesting.

He is fighting a war, and he will be more than fit to lead. The slime thrown from all directions, amplified by FOX, is only going to make him stronger. GOP is getting about 10% of the Dem vote where allowable, all going to Trump, which should signal Hillary’s weakness.

No, I don’t think so. The visual of 1200 delegates walking out a la Baltimore in 1860 would not work with today’s media.

I know. I did it your way for 8 years.

There was a group in the 1840s-50s called the “Barn burners” because they were willing to burn down the barn to kill the rats.

I’m there. I don’t think we EVER get a real choice again till the people (i.e., the majority of primary voters) get the candidates they want, then those candidates act in accordance with how they have been elected.

Step one is to burn down the barn if the rats don’t go quietly.

Will that be enough to compensate for 37% of Republicans who say they will not vote for Trump?

You have to understand that the GOPe are PERFECTLY HAPPY with the democrats in charge. They are engaged in the same sort of fiduciary fraud and know the dims will cover up for them for a percent of the take.

What both parties (and I use the word ‘both’ loosely as it’s just really one party anymore) fear is an outsider having a look at the books to see what they’ve been up to for the past couple generations.

Obama has gone ‘berserk’ on his enemies. And there’s ample evidence the GOPe outright supported this for their own gains. Look at the IRS vs. tea party supporter shenanigans. Have you heard any outrage from the GOPe about what the IRS did? Have you seen any substantive actions against the IRS now that the GOPe control both houses of congress?

It is my belief that cooler heads will prevail by the time we get to the nominating. Any primary contest gets heated. They aren't playing for nickels here. It is the most important job in the world. And things almost always get said that are taken personal.

I admit that there has been alot of stuff said by the candidates, their surrogates, super pacs, and supporters that have been even more heated this time around. Add in insults about the candidates’ wives and you have a recipe for making this personal. And I think that is exactly where we are at.

Take here for example. Things have been said by supporters ON BOTH SIDES that just should not have been said. There has been an impugning of patriotism, curses, threats, etc. flying from one side to the other.

That all said, most of us know that the real enemy is Hillary Clinton and the Dems. I believe that we will eventually unite against here. The nominee is going to be either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz. They will both have so many delegates that there is no one a ringer can be thrown in. And the establishment will swallow hard and get behind one or the other.

There is only one time in recently history that a part was so fractured that it could not put itself together and that is the 1964 GOP. There was such a visceral hatred for Barry Goldwater that it never came together for the general. Even the Dems is 1968, with it's terrible convention, were able to finally come together, bound by their mutual hatred for Richard Nixon. And they made it a photo finish.

Please, everyone, when you are saying negative things about the “other guy” remember who the real enemy. Ted Cruz is my man. But as I have said before, I will vote for Donald Trump, even if it is a reluctant vote. We must not allow Hillary Clinton to become president!

This makes me think that Trump fell into a trap by the GopE.

The information on Cruz gets released and then Trump gets blamed. They take both of them down and put in a Todie.

At this point their main goal is to stop Trump. They don’t care about electing a Conservative.

The heat is coming from the “extra” game being played outside of what the primary voters deliver.

All of the talk about contested or brokered convention is ridiculous. If the majority of voters is not recognized you have complete destruction of the party.

The majority of voters in this primary will select Trump when it is all said and done. If that is thrown out and someone without the peoples support becomes the nominee then all hell will break loose.

Stick with honoring elections and this fight is done at the polls and all is well. Honor the vote and the unity will follow.

“high ranking dem in Maine says that they know cruz does not qualify under Art 2, sect 5, and will pursue it in court when he is nominated.”

If he wasn’t eligible, he would never have gotten on the ballots and donors wouldn’t be spending millions on him.

GOPestablishment would rather burn the ‘big tent’ down than let Trump lead it, since they can’t get their own selectee nominated in the primaries.

==

For them, however, it is a win-win. If they dump trump, they think they win because they can put up an insider. If their insider wins, they get the White House. If the insider loses to the Dem, they still have the insider in the form of a Dem president.

And that allows them to maintain their status quo.

Maintaining their status is more important to them than winning the White House, keeping the Senate, and keeping the House.

I blame the bow-tied blowhards at National Review, Redstate, and almost every other “conservative” website and publication for the coming breakup of the Republican party. If you go on these sites you have never seen such vitriol. Article after article savaging Trump. i have never seen even 1/10 th as much outrage against Obama or Clinton or any other Democrat. Delusional.

Aside from that we are going to allow the chemically imbalanced to vote then we might as well open the mental ward doors. Who can argue that women have given us 2 or the worst presidents in the last 50 years, Obama and Clinton. That should be enough proof for you, it is for me.
