GOP nears the breaking point
The Hill ^ | Jesse Byrnes

Posted on 03/31/2016 6:33:05 AM PDT by Biggirl

The presidential primary has been a wrenching experience for the GOP so far — and it’s about to get even worse. Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich have all backed away from their pledge to support the party's eventual nominee, foreshadowing a fight at the convention and beyond that could cleave the GOP into warring factions.

This is exactly what the neo-con artists and their open borders toadies have wanted all along, so that their preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton, can win. All that is left for them to do is hand pick a sacrificial lamb, like McCain and Romney.

Will you join

It appears more and more that by using underhanded tactics the GOP is going to make every effort to undermine the will of the voters, including this:

Then, this disturbing tweet on March 28:
“They are setting Trump up for a red wedding style betrayal we need to be in Cleveland ready.”
The Red Wedding is apparently a reference to an episode in “Game of Thrones”.
The meaning is that they intend to take Trump down in some nefarious way at the convention in Cleveland.

If they, meaning the GOP, the Establishment, and the DNC, yes the DNC is part of this, If they are successful, will you join with us in starting a third party, led by Mr. Trump?

Meanwhile, Hillary is dealing with an old, cranky socialist who has captured the hearts of the young Rats, and is making Hillary squirm a little.

high ranking dem in Maine says that they know cruz does not qualify under Art 2, sect 5, and will pursue it in court when he is nominated.

He further insinuated that cruz knew this.

I have never seen a more destructive primary process for the GOP. There is a lot of blame to go around but let’s first start with the party head, Rinse Prius.

For starters, he NEVER should have allowed the circus like atmosphere that were the debates. Once they saw the screaming and yelling from the audience they should have either restricted attendance or had NO audience. This fed the media and the reporting that this was a gladiator match and not a debate.

That then spilled over to the actual primary contests. Prius is allowing the GOP leaders to undermine what should be a trusted process. All the talk of contested convention by the GOPe is fueling the anger among both Curz and Trump supporters that this is not a fair process.

The GOPe and their leaders are in effect making it very difficult for the Republican to beat Hillary - maybe that’s what they want and Cruz and Trump supporters should agree to bolt the party and form a new conservative party for the future and punish the current elected GOPe politicians by not voting for them this year down ballot.

If you look at the direction this country has taken, and the fact that there is such a huge and apparently permanent split in opinion as to which direction this country is going, it makes me wonder if the country should just split, so that each half of the country can move in the direction it wants.

There do not seem to be shared values between the two groups of people. They are just forced every election cycle to have caged matches with each other. And the one side is determined to just win by importing more people that will support them.

It might be time to consider a national divorce.

And making the DNC wonder about her even being electable. If the FBI investigation jells she could become basically unelectable. Mr. Biden, white courtesy phone please, Mr. Biden!

Trump is death knell of the UNIPARTY.
That’s why you hear so much screaming and from so many DIFFERENT directions.
You have no idea how many and varied ricebowls on different sides of the issue will be broken should he get in. With what power simple candidacy bring him, such HUGE CORRUPTION AND COMPLICITY have been exposed already!

Popcorn, anybody else???

And they will pursue it in the Electoral College, not just court, where it will be resolved to the Dems favor.

This has happened because the GOP is nothing but a lobbyist check cashing service disguised as a political party.

Trump had quite a week this week. He repudiated the entirety of US postwar foreign policy, starting with NATO, running through nuclear non-proliferation as a goal re Korea and Japan, renounced the relationship with Saudi Arabia in favor of increased mercantilist trade with Iran. Said women who have abortions should be imprisoned on the same day his campaign director was arrested for assaulting a woman reporter. Polls show him losing Wisconsin.

Anyone on here starting to wonder if this guy is fit for office, or still full steam ahead?

You can’t have a ‘national divorce’ as you suggest, friend, because one half of the country wants to stick its hand in the pockets of the other half. And the Uniparty wants to let more illegals and refugees in to overwhelm the productive class.

Yeah, yeah, and Bernie voters won't support Hitlery as the nominee -- IOW, my big sweet ass.

While it's true this election will show an historic realignment, it's a fact that pretty much every election shows that, because the truth is, a different group is voting every single time -- due to attrition (deaths) and new voters (people coming of age).

If the election were held today, who would be your first choice for President of the United States?

Who would be your first choice for Donald Trump's running mate?

Who would be your first choice for Donald Trump's running mate?

What a freaking mess! I have lost respect and enthusiasm for all the candidates and the process.

This campaign season is the perfect analog for modern America, one big dysfunctional joke.

Batten down the hatches folks. Cloister yourselves in tightly knit families, churches and small middle class communities. Re focus on hobbies and activities that balance mind spirit and body.

America is toast, and it will never come back. In fact we are headed into very dark and depressing times. I will remain slightly engaged, but I need to reset my priorities and take care of those things that are meaningful to me.

The whole mess has just gotten too darned depressing and life is short.

Using only a small amount of hindsight, Trump should have run third party from the beginning. Nothing sets the Uniparty off like a threat to their globalist policies of open borders and one sovereignty undermining trade agreement after another.

And this

Trump v Cruz head-to-head actual primary election results for the 3 purple states which are must wins,

|——————Trump v Cruz -——— Trump v Cruz ———— Margin -——|
Ohio ............. 700,464 - 259,694 ...... 35.87% - 13.30% ..... +440,770 Trump

Florida ........ 1,079,741 - 404,804 ..... 45.72% - 17.14% ..... +647,937 Trump

Virginia ......... 355,961 - 173,191 ..... 34.73% - 16.90% ...... +182720 Trump

The facts say, Cruz can’t win FL,OH, or VA. He has to win all of them; therefore a vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary.

Fantasy polls of potential future match ups or likability are always used as election propaganda and never reflect reality when just 2 candidates face each other.

Don’t be a GoPe useful idiot, vote Trump.

new conservative party

So would a "new" conservative party have "Free trade" as one of its planks? If so then what would be the difference between it and the GOPe?
