Prosecuting climate 'deception' could soon get easier
WND ^ | 03/30/2016 | Jay Baggett

Given the dire warnings over the threat of global warming, it would be reasonable to expect nearly two decades without a rise in average global temperature to be cause for celebration.

Not so. Instead, it’s a call for more punishing legislation.

WND reported last September efforts by some two-dozen scientists with major U.S. universities to convince President Obama to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act – RICO – to prosecute opponents who deny mankind is causing catastrophic changes in the climate.

Now, a California state senator is proposing a law that would make climate “deception” prosecutable for 30 years under California’s Unfair Competition Law, extending the statute of limitations from the current four years, reported InsideClimate News.

The government is attempting to criminalize any difference from the government opinion on the topic of climate change.

They are trying to establish a 30-year window to launch investigations and lawsuits for claimed acts of “unlawful, unfair or fraudulent business act[s] or practice[s] and unfair, deceptive, untrue or misleading advertising” related to climate change.

But Obama is releasing drug criminals back into neighborhoods.

Man made global warming is total BS and the government that punishes me for saying that, no longer deserves to stand.

The real problem is people don’t understand how evil the left is, how it has no regard for well, Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

I’d half a mind to say, LET them get good and arrogant like that. Then make the case that they’re full of hooey on a level that even the average Joe Redneck can understand. Don’t go quietly into that good (bad) night.

This is how God does things. He’ll grin those fools to hell right from Heaven. Psalm 2....

As long as it can be used against guys like Hanson, who alter climate records to deceptively show warming, when there isn’t.

Time to use that law against the left. Force them to explain why none of the doom and gloom predictions came true. Expose the money trail. Sue them all and keep during until they collapse.

I wonder if this applies when the alarmists predictions don’t come to fruition.

Aren’t the east and west coasts supposed to be under water by now?

NY IS going after energy companies, claiming the companies ‘hid information that showed that fossil fuels cause climate change’- just read the article about NY this morning infact-

Energy companies SHOULD do a preemptive strike and demand that scientists prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that just 0.00136% of our atmosphere (the % of atmosphere that has CO2 in it due directly to man) is capable of warming the whole globe and they should demand that scientists explain to the people why it is that temperatures ALWAYS rise first and then 100’s of years later CO2 rises IF CO2 is supposed to be the cause of climate change

Folks, our atmosphere has just 0.04% CO2 in it due to all causes- man is responsible for just 3.4% of that meaning the total amount of atmosphere that has CO2 in it directly due to man is just 0.00136% (3.4% of 0.04% = 0.00136%)

There is no thick blanket of CO2 preventing heat from escaping the atmosphere- 0.00136% of the atmosphere is NOT enough atmosphere to prevent heat from escaping-

to illustrate this- dump a thimble of 100% water into a swimming pool of 98 Degree water and see if there is ‘catastrophic warming’ of the pool water- The thermometer will NOT change one iota-

This issue is similar to Trump’s statement concerning the feds punishing women who break federal abortion laws.

Fictitious constitutional rights and powers legislated from the bench by activist justices aside, the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate either abortion or global climate change issues. So it follows that the feds have no constitutional authority to make punitive laws for these issues imo.

Regarding RICO, it has to be questioned how many organized crime bosses are in prison for breaking federal laws that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to make.

Insights, corrections welcome.

Tort reform ending frivolous lawsuits is needed now more than ever.

From the article: “The bill, if passed by the Democrat-held Senate and Assembly, could be ready for Gov. Jerry Brown’s signature by late August.”

This is a bill “Moonbeam” would gladly sign.

Too busy trying to stop Trump. If they ever tried 10% as hard to stop the left as they are trying to stop Trump, they wouldn't have to worry about stopping Trump.
