U.S. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has pulled into a statistical dead heat with front-runner Donald Trump, a new Reuters/Ipsos national poll showed on Tuesday, as the Texas senator appeared poised to pick up a key victory in Wisconsin's primary.

Cruz received 35.2 percent of support to Trump's 39.5 percent, the poll of 568 Republicans taken April 1-5 found. The numbers put the two within the poll's 4.8 percentage-point credibility interval, a measure of accuracy. Cruz and Trump were also briefly in a dead heat on March 28.

Seriously.

Well I don’t believe for one second that Cruz could win in a national election so it appears Hillary is going to be our next president.

It appears that brokered convention here we come; and I guess the fix is in for Ryan. I’m sort of disgusted but not with the GOP elite, they are arrogant corrupt cheating snakes and are going to act like snakes that they are. I am disgusted with my fellow Americans who have allowed themselves to snookered once again, and so we continue to be ruled by snakes.

George Carlin said it best....

“Now, there’s one thing you might have noticed I don’t complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don’t fall out of the sky. They don’t pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It’s what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you’re going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain’t going to do any good; you’re just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it’s not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There’s a nice campaign slogan for somebody: ‘The Public Sucks. F___ Hope.”

These national polls are nearly worthless. Besides, you have to look at several polls to see a trend, not just a single poll. Anyway, all that matters right now are the remaining states who haven’t voted.

I am equally disappointed in Trump. He could have sewn this up already if he hadn’t gone full boar against Cruz and alienated millions of conservatives who were very open to Trump’s campaign and message. He went from plan B to hell no to a lot of people since January and solidified terrible negatives. On January 1, thought he had a really good chance of being president, but he simply not cut out to handle this process.

Well, you’re right. Just last night we had the ARG Poll Showing Trump defeating Cruz in Wisconsin by 10 pct. points.

RE: What does the ARG poll say.

Trump was supposed to beat Cruz by 10 points in WI. That was the latest of all polls prior to today’s primaries.

True but Trump got outfoxed by Cruz on that wife thing, wasted his time attacking Walker, stumbled badly on abortion, and his desire to make the allies pay starts sounding like abandoning our allies.

I like Trump and he’s oh so right on illegals and Muslims, but his weaknesses are showing.

Yes he may win still but if he falters like this will he win the general election?

It seems whenever a straight speaking champion for America emerges, like Sarah Palin, something brings them down. Not fair but it happens.

Go Trump.

It's way too soon to tell. But WI is only one state, and there are many more remaining. Losing one battle is far different from losing a war. The best thing to do is just to try to take everything in stride and see how it all plays out.

It's kind of like the weather. You may have one really hot month, and then a lot of boneheaded meteorologists jump on that train and go, "The next SEVERAL months are all going to be hot, hot, hot!!!" ;) And more often that not, their long-term forecasts are pathetic. The truth is, trying to predict the weather several months in advance is a fool's errand. Same with politics. Only God really knows what's going to happen.

37 percent of republicans won’t vote for Cruz if he’s the nominee. God bless each and every one of those patriots! They even said that on Fox News tonight. Charles said trump Americans will not vote for Cruz. That was awesome TV watching tonight. So proud.
