Conservative Wing of California Republicans Endorse Cruz for President
Conservative Review ^ | 04/07/16 | CR Wire

The California Republican Assembly, the state's oldest and largest Republican volunteer organization, has formally endorsed Ted Cruz for president.

Cruz received the necessary two-thirds of the vote at the statewide convention on the first ballot, something that has not been done in 20 years. The impressive accomplishment is due to Cruz's record as a "proven, consistent conservative," said CRA President Tom Hudson.

While Republican assemblies in many states are not particularly influential, the CRA is a powerhouse conservative institution hailed by Ronald Reagan as the "conscience of the Republican Party."

mCruz is a globalist, not a conservative. The two mutually repel each other much like islam and freedom.

No.

Cruz defeated globalists at the Supreme Court.

No other candidate can say that.

How many CA Republicans pay attention to them?

All those who support Hillary for president.

Please educate me on the premise of your post. I think your definition of a conservative is at odds with most but I am willing to listen to a well thought out rationale for your statement.

You can be for "Free Trade" (misnomer) glowBULLism or a conservative, but not both.

Why is it that ‘conservatives’ ignore reality and fall for dark sounding spells. Cruz is a GOPe globalist tool... Cruz demanded McConnell to give him the same Senate resolution that was given lord McCain... claiming him eligible to hold the office of president. McConnell refused, hence Cruz threw a hisssy fit and called McConnell a liar in public...

Other than the hype there is NOTHING conservative about the VAT tax globalist Cruz. Anyone paying attention knows that NONE are still calling Cruz one who follows the ‘original intent’ of the Constitution... Cruz is now labeled the ‘consistent’ conservative.... kinda like GWBush came in calling himself the ‘compassionate’ conservative... Take the blinders OFF!!!

Another nail in his conservative coffin.

There is a reason why California Conservatives like myself think Cruz Is The One. Here is a little Heritage Foundation data for you to absorb. I suppose we could be backing Mike Lee. That would be OK. Or we could be backing an ex-Democrat who has supposedly seen the light. Yea. Right.

With respect from the exo-burbs of LA, you clearly don't know the CRA. The CRA is the real conservative deal out here. (It competes with a few other Republican caucuses that are off to the pro-choice left. If this endorsement were from one of those squish outfits, you'd have a point.) The CRA pulled for Tom McClintock in the recall election, not Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Although, unfortunately, about 2/3 of CA voters are off to the left, remember that FR's founder lives here too. We haven't given up yet ...

I heard this a while back, and as today, there is no proof it happened... do you have proof or is this merely hearsay?

Doesn’t matter. If Cruz causes a brokered convention and Trump is denied the nomination, one thing I’m going to enjoy is watching all these Cruz supporting idiots watch their guy go down in flames as the GOP nominates their own guy. Ryan, Romney, it doesn’t matter.

I'm surprised this wasn't (more) publicized a month ago, because that's when the endorsement occurred. http://myvalleynews.com/local/cra-announces-endorsement-cruz/

Maybe the Cruz campaign decided to wait until after Wisconsin's primary to highlight it?

Let me be the second to ask what or earth are you talking about. Exports of goods and services out of this country are 13.7 percent of our total economy. That represents about 1 job in 7 or so. Should we give that up? What is a globalist to you? What are you talking about?

Kill two birds with one stone and answer us both at the same time.
