His blood alcohol content level at the time was .241, which is four times the legal limit to drive, WOWT reported. In addition, Mejia was driving on a suspended license and faces a motor vehicle homicide charge. Douglas County Judge Jeff Marcuzzo set Mejia's bail at 10 per cent of $50,000, which means he only had to post $5,000 cash to be released.

Illegal aliens — killing Americans others won’t kill.

In the event Donald Trump is elected, he’d better understand that he cannot waffle on his promise to BUILD THAT WALL. Needs to be job one on day one.

The laws are not intended to get dangerous illegal immigrants off the streets after they kill people.

The laws are intended to harass people like me — I’m a middle class white Christian guy with a house, a family, a good job, and a solid history of paying taxes. They write laws to keep people like me looking over my shoulder and worrying that my world will come crashing down at any moment.

The victim was the friend of a daughter of a FReeper as I recall. Perhaps that person will see and comment.

Douglas County Judge Jeff Marcuzzo set Mejia's bail at 10 per cent of $50,000, which means he only had to post $5,000 cash to be released.

Generally the 10% reference in stories like these indicates the bail bondsman's "deposit", usually with the remainder secured by someone's promissory note or property. It's not just the judge, the entire system is inadequate for dealing with non-citizens. They are not supposed to be here, certainly not in these numbers. Their presence is making a shambles of our medical system, our legal system, and more.

So if an illegal alien gets arrested it should be “no bail” for any charges that have the potential of resulting in jail time. And charge them with breaking and entering on top of any other charges.

Are you defending the release of illegal aliens once abducted by law enforcement?

So if an illegal alien gets arrested it should be “no bail” for any charges that have the potential of resulting in jail time.

I say, no bail and deport. Seems simple enough.

In Texas, that crime is usually an automatic 20 year sentence in the State prison, even for a first time offense. Except for that Burleson kid.

Atlas Shrugged --

Dr. Floyd Ferris:

"We're after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you'd better get wise to it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them...you create a nation of lawbreakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden."

Someone has observed that everyone in the USA commits 3 felonies a day without realizing it. We are all criminals. It's just a matter of whether or not the government wants to "get you".

Illegal immigrant? No worries -- the government isn't that interested.
Hillary Clinton? No worries -- the government isn't that interested.
Guy with a job? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm ... the government may definitely be interested in taking you down. Question: Are you a good Liberal? Or one of them evil Conservatives?
