The Case for Donald Trump

Clarence, N.Y. — AMERICANS are angry. I hear it from the former factory workers who lost their jobs to other countries because of bad trade deals, the veterans who wait months to see a doctor at a Veterans Affairs hospital and the small-business owners who are struggling to stay afloat because of the Affordable Care Act’s crippling regulations. The professional politicians they trusted and supported have repeatedly sold out our country in favor of special interests and the status quo. Finally, millions of Americans are saying, “Enough is enough.”

I see the failures of career politicians in the experiences of the hardworking men and women in Western New York whom I represent in Congress. The safe manufacturer SentrySafe, which once employed hundreds in the Rochester area, will close its doors this June and shift much of its operation to Mexico. That means the loss of good-paying jobs because our state and national leaders do not know how to encourage businesses to stay and grow in the United States.

A vote for anybody other than Trump is a vote for more of the same.

Most Americans are tired of "more of the same" and are willing to take a risk on a non-politician.

I for one am tired of constantly being cast as “angry”. I am not so much angry, as much as I have decided that nobody in DC or the highest levels of internationalist banking and business can be trusted to advance the nation that I really enjoyed.
The trust is 100% gone. No promises they make matter, because I know who they are. Their words are empty to me.

And it is clear they do not give a flying fornication about the America I knew. Yet, these lunatic SOBs have the gall to insist that I get behind their world view.

Its like this, I care about your goals in politics, banking and the world, about as much as you care about mine.

I hear America whining, the cringing carols I hear,
Those of mechanics, each one bitching his as it should be blithe and strong,
The carpenter muttering his as he measures his slim stocks of plank or beam,
The mason swearing his as he makes ready for another day of slow work, or is laid off from work,
The boatman scrounging to hang on to what belongs to him in his boat, the deckhand wishing he was on the steamboat deck,
The shoemaker sitting staring as he sits on his bench, the hatter no longer in existence as he faded away,
The wood-cutter’s silent song, the ploughboy’s echoes from the past in the morning, or at noon intermission or at sundown,
The delirious swooning of the mother, or of the young wife out of work, or of the girl no longer sewing or washing,
Each bemoaning what belonged to him or her and to none else,

The day has past that belongs to the day—at night the party of young fellows, now often silly frat boys with sullen, dangerous ideas,
Shouting with open mouths their strong odious cries of victim-hood and oppression they have never felt.

What has happened to America? Is it gone for good, carried off by Socialists and “community organizers” with their own strong cries of racism, sexism, lookism, agism and all the other complaints they are inflicting on the mentally weakened, after years of brainwashing and creeping political correctness?

Mr. Reagan was right, a Free Republic is only a generation (or two) from failing.

I am angry..very angry. We have been betrayed and lives have been lost because of it. While I am dumbfounded at watching Europe destroy itself I have to admit the same thing is going on here right in our faces.

The elected officials - put forth by 2 private entities - who claim they will represent us have ignored us over and over, most likely thinking there’s nothing we can do and we’ll get over it anyway, to favor those who line their pockets.

The system is rigged...has been rigged for a long time. Amazing that anyone falls for it anymore. Follow the money - who is supporting whom? I don’t care if they claim to be Jesus..if they’re supported by globalist lobbyists they’re the devil in a suit. To me it’s as black and white as that.

What you said. . . Amen to that. It's taken me a long time to confront what a rigged system it is and the betrayal I feel. Naive? Probably, but I think most Americans believed they were basically honest and working for us. Wrong!

Trump/Palin 2016! Two fighters who will take on the Uniparty and the D.C. establishment! Can you think of a better combination? Maybe Trump/Cruz if they can bury the hatchet. No other combo IMHO. We need two steamrollers!

Bingo Bingo Bingo. Even IF Cruz were a sincere man, Trump has a track record not just of having ideas, but turning those ideas into a reality in the PHYSICAL WORLD, which is ALL THAT MATTERS.

To hold (or pretend to hold - we don't know which - but let's say he's sincere) the ideas of Cruz is easy, we all hold them. Millions and millions of people hold those ideas. It doesn't mean a thing to hold those ideas, and it doesn't mean a thing to have the political cleverness to read Green Eggs and Ham when the rest of the Republicans are too blind to see which way the wind is already blowing.

Trump is far more likely to make serious progress in the direction we want, even if his direction is a few or many degrees off from the proud and 'pure' (as they like to call themselves - pure BS if you ask me) conservatives. (Who by the way seem to resemble more and more the establishment - at least the outspoken ones here. 4 legs good, 2 legs bad better! Right 2ndTed, txhurled and lonestar)?)

Trump will get stuff done. His ego won't allow him not to. (Ego is actually the primary constructive force in mankind. Untrained, undisciplined, or put in service of pure ambition it's bad ... but ultimately, all men are slaves to our egos ... so long as we surrender to a good cause that's bigger than ourselves, and in doing so subjugate the ego to commitment to that cause, Mr. Original Sin is kept in check, and the ego is transmuted into creative energy. The Ego was probably the first victim of PC before it was called PC. Ego isn't the enemy. Ego in service only of self and personal ambition is the enemy. I'm thinking in particular about one of the candidates, who has built nothing, but has a lot of ambition and cleverness, which is fine, I just wonder whether anyone else is included in his cause as anything other than an afterthought.)

Yes it is. That's why I lose sleep at night. I keep thinking, "What can I do? . . We're talking about our grand-kids and the generations unborn. . hundreds of years. . millennia maybe. . What are we doing? I feel this existential anxiety. . Is this what the Founders felt?"
