Ted Cruz’s Coup Against Right-Wing Matriarch Phyllis Schlafly
The Daily Beast ^ | 04/17/2016 | BETSY WOODRUFF

Posted on 04/17/2016 6:08:24 AM PDT by MaxistheBest

When Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump, the wheels started to come off her right-wing empire and allies blame the trouble on Ted Cruz. One of the right-wing’s most prominent empires is reeling — and its president says it’s Ted Cruz’s fault.

Eagle Forum, a conglomerate of conservative groups which anti-feminist icon Phyllis Schlafly started in 1972, has been rocked by inner turmoil over the last week that has pit family members against each other. And the group’s head, Ed Martin, says Cruz’s campaign is using its much-discussed “dirty tricks” to sow conflict in the organization as revenge for Schlafly’s endorsement of Donald Trump.

Hey it’s just the rules. If Phyllis didn’t know them it’s her fault. /S

This is on Twitter, that the disrupters reach into the highest levels of the Cruz campaign.

Imagine the kind of revenge Cruz could mete out with the power of the presidency behind him. He’d make Obama and Clinton look like pikers.

This reads far more like someone trying to cover their butt after saying something nasty than any "dirty tricks" from the Cruz campaign.

According to the article, this guy Martin sent "a very ugly" email to other people on the Board about Ted and Heidi Cruz, and a fellow board member said she forwarded it to Cruz's campaign. Cruz' campaign manager then confronted the guy over what he wrote.

That's not a dirty trick from Cruz' campaign. That's a guy who is upset that his nasty email got exposed.

I was dismayed by her endorsement, but the head of the ERA effort in the 1970s remarked upon their defeat, that the abortion feminists had run up against an insurmountable spiritual force. This of course means that they have a dark spiritual force, as when a fasting Fulton Sheen publicly declining an airline meal, was met with a witch fasting for abortion.

What does the Bible say: “Satan can disquise himself as an angel of light.”

At least 20 Eagle Forum heads that I know of have bolted for Cruz, most of the conservative pro life, GOA, and conservative orgs have endorsed Cruz.

That should tell you something that, Trump is not getting those type endorsements. All he’s got is Falwell Jr. And liberal people and groups.

Even Franklin Graham says Trump is wrong.

“Cruz’ campaign manager then confronted the guy over what he wrote.”

You don’t know much about Jeff Roe, do you?

So Phyllis keeps her job?

The Cruz campaign has driven a wedge between mother and daughter, how low can you go.

Inuendos not supported by facts to smear Cruz. This is the kind of thing Roger Stone is famous for. Trump must be behind it because he benefits from it.

(See how easy it is to play that game?)

That is an apt observation. There was a discussion yesterday about A: the fact that the Cruzes give nothing to their home church, and B: the fact that Ted lies about the reason he gives nothing. Not giving is a choice, but lying about it is just asking for trouble, per Ananias and Sapphira, Acts 5.

I wonder if any Trump supporters actually read the article...

Hint: there was lots of internal conflicts before the email were leaked to the Cruz campaign...

I might add there is zero evidence the Cruz campaign was involved in the "coup"

As normal...facts are irrelevant to Trump supporters...

So who benefited from breaking up the Schlafly organization? Wasn’t it Ted Cruz?

It will be real interesting if Cruz were to ever become president. Jeff Roe will be chief of staff and your “Principled Christian Conservative” candidate will be like a dream turned nightmare.

Jeff Roe is a pig and Ted Cruz is a pig politician for hiring him!!
