Rush Limbaugh: The Two-Faced Pundit
Hotgas.net ^ | April 18, 2016 | Fossten

According to Rush Limbaugh, when Hillary opts to use the RULES to get what she wants, it’s bad. When Ted Cruz does it, it’s good. Rush has preached for years about the need for conservatives to go out and change the minds of the American people; that that is the true way to achieve everlasting change. He trumpeted this strategy as the reason for the 1994 Republican victory in the House. The reality is that Donald Trump is playing this game straight up. He is going to the voters and convincing them that his way is better than Cruz’s. He’s taking it directly to the people, not winning through shrewd political maneuvers.

This is so true. Rush has lost sight of the big picture and gotten into the weeds with Levin, Erikson and Rove. I don’t think he will ever recover.

I listen to Rush and i am a Trump supporter... I feel Rush is trying not to pick sides, but is worried and trying to prepare us for a Cruz nomination in case it happens (he just wants to beat Hillary). I feel he knows Trump will win but Cruz he is worried and knows it will need as much of a united party as possible (and even thinks the establishment is cool with lose with cruz)...

Rush wants to be able to keep his job no matter who gets nominated. He has been too understanding of the alleged rules in Colorado but otherwise has been fair enough to Trump and Cruz. He favors neither.

Concerning RUSH's "favors and kickbacks"; huge example: Apple! I can't imagine the amount he gets for schlocking Apple products. Every "new and improved" Apple gadget that has a mediocre at best change RUSH blathers on about like it is God's gift to mankind. Talk about being a huckster, with RUSH it seems all about the $ and nothing more except promoting RUSH/himself and his "obscene (never-ending) profit time outs"

I stopped listening to RUSH years ago after realizing that 98% of the stories he regurgitates every day I had already read on FR between 6 hours to two days ago!

FR = RUSH's "show prep".

RUSH should part with some of that cash of his to make a substantial, ongoing contribution to Free Republic to keep it up and running because he gets the overwhelming majority off his show and makes so much for his millions upon millions of dollars directly from regurgitating what he finds for FREE on FR for $!

Wow. That’s not what I hear at all. I hear Rush between the lines pushing Cruz over Trump every day. Three hours a day.

Just as he had tried to push Rubio on us a couple of months ago.

Did you know that Rush did not vote for Reagan? What kind of a conservative did not vote for Reagan?

When the election season started and there were two dozen people in the race, I thought t Trump / Cruz ticket was the best outcome possible. My dream ticket would have been Trump / Rand Paul.

Trump because the GOP has caved into Obama, and treated the base like they were stupid. One recent example comes to mind, voting to defund Planned Parenthood ... after voting to fund it in the budget ... The GOP in power is absolutely insane.

I have been a member of Rush 24/7 and only occasionally catch a podcast or two, but none in the last couple of months.

I don't think Rush is in it this year for the money, as he has the resources to kick back, and this years income will not change his projected lifestyle one bit. Something else is driving him.

The problem is Trump is not as conservative as we would like, but neither is the GOP (who got elected claiming to be), so Trump is the best way to send them a message. Trump also appalls to fed up Democrats, so he has a good chance of success in November.

Paul Rand would be a good influence on the dangers of Tariffs ( the root cause of many wars) and the Central Banks ( allowing runaway government spending).

Not sure why Rush is not more pro-Trump, perhaps just trying to get him a bit more to the right.

Personally, I think Rush is jealous of Trump. Just my opinion...

60,000 party members voted in CO. It was open to all party members.

There are over 1,062,000 registered pubbies in Colorado and there was no vote. There were series of arcane semi-secret meetings, which were held after the party canceled the scheduled primary vote because they did not want the Colorado delegates to be bound to the vote of the unwashed voters.

If you call that a vote, so is this.

He’s also getting attacked for defending Trump. I just read an article as such yesterday. In reality, while he has said nice words about both, he has endorsed neither candidate.

Rush is about Rush. That’s it.

Join Rush 24-7.
Buy his tea.
Buy some Rush Revere books.

When he was married to Marta, he was hawking her ties.

Rush is trying to walk a tightrope to maintain his marketability.

I notice that your comment hasn’t really been countered. I think it speaks volumes about the argument for Trump and how deep it runs, or doesn’t.

Yesterday was a low point. A well spoken, former Cruzer-turned-Trump supporter from IN was giving him on the ground info and he didn’t want to hear it and was rude, mocking her. He caught himself at the end and tried to act like it was a joke, but it was clear he had really stepped in it.

I think Trump fans are delusional when the say Rush is carrying the water fro Ted Cruz.

And I think Cruz fans are equally delusional when they say Rush is carrying the water for Trump..........

All these years railing against the GOPe and now you are their water boy.

Cruz has exposed himself more than a Times Square flasher. He has shown himself to be totally without honor and true constitutional values. He is exactly why no one likes lawyers.
