Perhaps there isn’t a residency requirement? Not every jurisdiction has such things.

More trumpasms from the Gateway Trumpist.

I had to click the link to see if you left off “SHOCKING!!” or “UNREAL!!” from the title. These GP articles are hilarious with their tabloid trash style of “reporting”.

Cruz is an immoral crook. He has no respect for voters.

This scam man can’t even get voters to vote for him. he has to cheat and scam.

First class loser and liar.

Following rules doesn’t make it cheating. Cruz is just following rules, whether they make sense or not.

The rules are awful. Trump has gotten 36% of the vote and has 45% of the delegates. In fact AL Gore got more votes than Dubya. Ban the electoral college. Pure democracy is what we need in the good ole USA. Screw the Republic. The hell with small States and the Constitution that awards them two Senators. Three cheers for rule by urban mobs! Hip, hip hooray!

Trump won Missouri by .2% of the vote. And he gets a huge delegate share from that. Why isn’t Trump giving those delegates back to Cruz so the people’s voices that voted can be heard?

Most states don’t let the candidates simply handpick their own delegates and never have. The rules existed long before Cruz or Trump ran for President.

You don’t win any game by failing to follow the rules and then complaining after you lose that the rules were unfair.

These delegates are first elected by their counties, then their Congressional Districts and lastly by their State Convention, that's why!

Each vote winnows down the list, so the same person, or couple as the case may be, can be listed in all three ballots, assuming they win in their county, then on to their Cong. District and lastly, they got the votes when the whole state voted!

In any case to call this “cheating” is typical Trumpet hyperbole. Either it is a mistake, allowed, or it will be corrected. As for Cruz trying to get delegates who might support him on a second, I applaud his initiative. Remember, Trump won MO by two tenth S of one percent.

If I were a Trumpet I would be a little pissed that his team is so clueless on the whole battle for delegates. Does not bode well for his ability to run a national general election.

I read in my newspaper (dentist’s office) that the GOP-e and their other sock puppet K-sick claim to have the Indiana delegation sewed-up for a second vote.

in this case the excuse “just following rules” is the little brat sister of the excuse “just following orders”.... there are some things you just know are wrong to do

To the usual Cruz guys who repeat their straw man arguments:

1. There is a difference between
- a) Awarding delegates according to formulae according to the vote of the people and
- b) Subverting the process so that a delegate for one candidate actually favors another, and will work at the convention in opposition to the people who elected them.

Yes, the latter is according to party rules. Apparently there is no mental connection among the Cruz camp that “I’m running against the establishment” and “I’m subverting the voters’ wishes in favor of the establishment” have any conflict with each other. True doublethink in Orwellian fashion; X and not-X believed simultaneously without mental distress. Congratulations?

2. It also fails to occur to Cruz fans that nobody else shares the opinion that this rules-gaming is oh-so-clever, and that in fact for each instance where the establishment gins up delegates this way, more voters are disgusted by both the GOP and by Cruz.

Suppose all these insider games work, and Cruz walks out of the convention as the nominee. Will that nomination speech in front of a half-empty hall look good? Do you suppose that people in states Trump won, who voted against the Uniparty, will turn around and vote Cruz? Keep in mind here, on FR, you’re writing to the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy; imagine how the union guy who voted against unfair trade, the college student tired of PC madness, the IT worker hoping to avoid displacement by H1Bs will react.

The Cruz posters seem so gleeful when they post about how a Trump delegate position is subverted, but for everyone else it’s like watching a 3-year old breaking a toy and clutching the broken parts yelling “mine! Mine! MINE!”
