Trump’s Team Pitches His Legitimacy At Hollywood RNC Meeting (Trumps new tone)
CBS Miami ^ | April 21, 2016 | Ted Scoutin

Donald Trump’s team hit the floor of the Republican National Committee meeting...to lay out the plan for the front-runner’s path to the White House.

“How’d it go in there?” CBS4’s Hank Tester asked Paul Manafort,...“I was very pleased. We came here to let everybody know we are committed to work with them and answer any question. We are very happy that everybody knows we are a united team. In May or June we will all be one team again,” he said.

It’s good news after the RNC voted down a plan to recommend a rules change for the national convention.

“We’re basically in the 7th inning of the ballgame and I don’t think it’s right to change the rules of the game in the middle of the game,” said RNC Committeeman Randy Evans.

The RNC is acting very cautiously as the convention draws closer.Members are feeling the heat from Trump’s claim that the delegate selection process is fixed and working against him.

“It’s a rigged, crooked system that’s designed so that the bosses can pick whoever they want and that people like me can’t run and can’t defend you against foreign nonsense,” said candidate Donald Trump at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The GOP front-runner is making the claim that the Republican rules are not fair, though he’s confident he’ll have enough delegates to claim the nomination before the convention. If he doesn’t, Ted Cruz and John Kasich, who both are also in Hollywood, will continue trying to woo Republican delegates to back them.

“If Donald Trump is the nominee, Hillary Clinton wins and she wins by double digits,” said Kasich. “We were going to go to an open convention that no one was going to get the delegates and the delegates would choose who they want as president.”

Florida Governor Rick Scott has endorsed Donald Trump and called for party members to rally around Trump in unity. Scott said, “Donald Trump is either going to get to 1,237 or get very close. I’m focused on winning in November and the way to win is to rally behind Donald Trump and make sure we win in November.”

Trump surrogates Dr. Ben Carson and Paul Manafort agree with Governor Scott. In a private meeting, they proceeded to lay out the completion of Trump's winning strategy before a select group of members of the RNC.

Dr Carson explained that Trump can beat Clinton by “toning it down.” And he said, “We talked a little bit about strategy, what the landscape is, the path going forward.”

According to Paul Manafort, “You’ll start to see more depth of the person, the real person. You’ll see a real different guy.” Manafort, a brilliant political strategist, know as "The Count" stated that, “We are going to run a Donald Trump campaign, but it is going to have a traditional element to it.”

Yeah, at all costs he must use a new tone when speaking to a community that has Rob Reiner as one of its leaders.

A more traditional tone means more presidential and less incendiary. We would expect Trump to be not so outlandish and likely garner less free media coverage. And Manafort is laughing all the while as he explains this to reporters.

Taming Trump’s wildness and hilarity at rallies has nothing to do with Reiner and Reiner has nothing to do with the RNC.

McCain called for the party to rally. Romney called for the party to rally.
Trump has conned the masses and once again we must rally around Trump.
This will be the biggest scam ever perpetrated in the history of America. Trump’s right. He can say or do anything he wants and he’ll have his followers. I’ve never been a follower and I’m not starting now. There is still time to call off the marriage before you find out your spouse cheats on you.

I guess you either don’t understand Hollywood or don’t understand irony.

The only con man running is Cruz, and he’s toast.

Nice try.

That’s about right, I didn’t get it since I have no interest or knowledge about most people in Hollywood.

Why is anyone listening to that half-wit Kasich?

Well, if you’re going to comment on Hollywood try to know something about it. I’ve spent years there and my family is in show business out there. They are Republicans.

First of all the CNN story about Ben Carson was debunked. The Cruz campaign retweeted a real story that CNN ran.
And as far as his real estate deals, let’s hope it’s not your house he takes for his next golf course because he can
He changes his mind more in one day than he changes his boxers or briefs.

The event took place in Hollywood, Florida. Not California.

Perhaps I should have put (FL) in the side note, but I did not want to alter the official title for the article.
