Well, so much for Reagan's 11th commandment...

Neither has a chance, they are doing Hillary's work for her.

Probably a sign that donors and dollars are getting scarce for both candidates.

Cruz and Kasich can’t trust each other either; do they know that?

The Cruz/Kasich alliance is a desperate move...aimed at one thing only...and all out effort to somehow stop Trump from getting the number he needs to win the nomination.

...sadly, it is coming precisely at the time when we need Cruz to do what is right for the country...and that is burying the war hatchet and ultimately supporting Trump.

Look, I proudly campaigned for, donated to, and voted for Cruz in Idaho.

But the facts on the ground now are what they are, and there is no denying them.

Trump is headed to the nomination and will arrive at the convention with either more delegates than he needs to win, or he will be very, very close. At this stage, I believe he is going to have more than the 1,237.

At this stage there is only one strategy that the GOP can take to win...and I believe if they do it, then we would win in November.

I am hoping that after the Indiana primary on the 3rd, that Cruz does this. I am hoping therefore that he loses that Primary in such a way to make this clear and that he then will do what is best for our nation. I may be disappointed, but that is my hope nonetheless.

The true goal is to defeat Hillary in November and prevent a 3rd Obama term...which would be an abject disaster for all of America.

So, Cruz simply MUST ultimately support Donald Trump and he must do it for the good of the country. He, and Kasich, and Rubio and all of the others....including all of us, are going to have to get together and beat Hillary.

I believe if Cruz sincerely buried the war hatchet and characterized the stakes in these terms...and if the GOP united behind that idea, that we would win in November.

Those may not be the facts I had hoped for...but they are the facts on the ground.

As to Trump...I penned this some time ago, and believe it holds true now too:

The Trump Phenomenon
http://www.jeffhead.com/Trump-Phenom.htm

Cruz supporters (like me) simply must set emotion, pride and hurt feelings aside for the good of the nation at this point. It is that simple.

I also recently wrote a letter to Ted Cruz encouraging him to take this path:

Not so fast! They are continually accusing Trump of being just the kind of candidate that a Democrat would want to vote for! How can that be bad for Trump?

Cruz is now officially a Canadian-midget equivalent of a Muslim; taqqiya and terrorism emanate from every pore of his maggot-infested skin. He, along with Kasich and the rest of the GOP-e, are the equivalent of the Rosenbergs, and should be punished as they were.

It says here, Cruz will clear the path for a Kasich victory in Oregob and N.M... so never mind working with libtards and dems a long time ago, Cruz is working with one right now before our eyes.

This surely guarantees that neither Cruz nor Kasich will ever have any political position again.

Hey I am glad you posted this. Just watched my Varney and Co. recording from earlier.

Kasich: “Trump really can’t beat Hillary Clinton. He needs to understand that. The latest poll out of New Hampshire he loses 50 to 31.

What’s the big deal? We are going to go to a convention and the delegates get to pick the person who will do the best in the fall...”

I wish I could scream at him: Yeah they have done such a good job in the past. Look at Romney, McLame, Bob Dole and heck I’d even add Bush who gave use 0bamma and his baby mama.

Cruz's first mistake was attacking Trump, when he should have stuck to the issues. His campaign has gone downhill from there.

Maybe he still would have lost if he had stayed on the issues, but he has destroyed his own brand name with this deplorable campaign. This latest move may prove to be the last straw.
