As with many things wrong with this primary. This is unprecedented so they probably don’t have rules on such a thing. I would imagine the party never though candidates would be this stupid. Many new rules will be implemented in 2020. If nothing else, trump will make the primary more fair and smooth for future candidates.
But, PrairieDawg told me they do this all the time and that I must be new to politics. He claims the negotiating that took place between the delegates when Huckabee won on the second round in West Virginia in 2008 was the same. The equivocating by Cruz supporters in this primary is what amazes me. Every time Cruz comes up with some slimy new way to cheat, they claim it is the same as something else that happened at some other time that in reality has no relationship at all. What it reminds me of is... lawyers, the Clintons, and Obama. I started out liking Cruz, but a this point my wife and I have the same visceral reaction to Cruz as when Obama comes on the TV. I have to turn him off, or my wife will start yelling and be mad.
