All I have to say is ...Swing State.
What the ‘clever’ Cruz can’t figure out is that the goal is to win votes and that is what wins delegates.
The PA delegate process is anything but convoluted. Every person just votes for the delegates on the ballot. Granted, Trump had to get his delegates on the ballot and then make their names part of his campaign at the local level, which he did. But the “convoluted” adjective usually describes the delegates that get elected through caucuses and multiple local conventions. PA is a straightforward election.
In just the last 8 days Trump has won well over 200 delegates, while Cruz chips away a couple of delegates here and there in the hope of getting to a 2nd ballot, but all of his antics won’t make any difference, because Trump will have more than enough delegates by convention time.
Hey Ted and Carly, one for each of you!
CNN is showing Trump with 52 total in PA:

Current delegate count according to them, and I have found them to be fairly accurate is:
Trump: 991
Cruz: 568
Kasich: 154

As I predicted on the Primary Thread yesterday, Trump got over 100 of the delegates last night.
I expect he will go well over the top (probably by 50 or more delegates at this point), on June 7th.
If Cruz is interested in the GOP (without any e) winning in November, then he needs to concede next week after Trump (in all likelihood) takes Indiana.
I pray to God that is what he will do. He has the power to:
1) Unite the party by so doing.
2) Deliver a huge blow to the GOPe by so doing.
3) Set up for a big GOP November win.

Paul Manafort seems to have stopped the bleeding!
As soon as the primary purpose of Cruz’ campaign became “stop Trump”, he nosedived.
One law of politics that is still fully operational this cycle is that if all you stand for, is not being someone else, you lose.
I’m tired of the sycophantic Trump hooplah. It’s just as bad as the young Bernie crowd. Trump is a liberal just as bad as hillary is. He says EXACTLY what conservative Republicans want to here. He will not make good on ANY of it. I thought we were supposed to distrust all politicians? Why is that if you have are a billionaire, you can say all you want and we’ll believe you, but look past your record of donations to campaigns and previous remarks on issues? “Oh he’s changed his view” is not an answer!!!
Hard to see how he doesn't get to 1237 on first ballot.
He keeps winning across the country, with a few voterless exceptions, and yet Crasich insists that he can’t win. Crasich is either delusional or spiteful.
Very interesting...
I think part of the attraction of this movement is the unlawyering of the political class in this country. Levin,d limbaugh ,Kelly, etc hatred is based on they are lawyers and the tea party, trump, and the rest of us are not. (rush’s bro, d limbaugh and father limbaugh were lawyers) ban the .esq title of nobility from public office according to the constitution.
