Yes, but the session is over, so I guess it will have to be introduced again. The Republicans do have substantial majorities in both the senate and representatives, and the state has made some good progress on important issues.

They did just defund Planned Parenthood, and rejected the Fedzilla coercion that federal money would be with held.

Gov. Nixon has 45 days to veto/sign the bill. He has not committed. I suspect a veto is coming. However, the vote was more than enough to override Gov's veto. If 3/4 of legislators call for special session, one can be convened in Sept. This was done last year over the RTW bill. Which ultimately failed.

Having listened to most of the debate (and watched some) yesterday, it was sad to watch virtually EVERY Black legislator voice his/her disapproval. Democrats one and all. Seems to be no independent thinking on their side of the aisle.

No, The legislature has a dedicated veto session later this summer-September.

The bills passed by wide margins, and several other bills he vetoes earlier were over-ridden, so he knows he either pisses off the majority republican residents by vetoing before a major NOV election, his leftist minority by passing, does nothing and lets it become law by default, or gets it rammed down his and their throat by veto later this summer.

I think he’ll let it become law w/o action-we’ll know more within 10 business days starting Monday....
