It dominates the news cycle. And serving as your own PR guy is not illegal - it’s kind of clever in a way. No one is talking about Hillary Clinton. Trump has been playing with the press for decades -he has insights on media we can’t even fathom.

I disagree. Remember, this was 25 Years ago and voices to change as we get older. That applies to both Trump and the guy being interviewed.
That being said, this is just another Tempest in a Teapot.
Most people who hear the tape don’t find this case to be such a mystery. A lot of people probably just see it as more evidence that Trump is an unusual person. I think that he should just leave it at that. Being seen as an unusual person is better than being seen as a dishonest person. In fact, a lot of people like the fact that he’s unusual.

I fail to see the need for all the hoopla. It’s not like he killed anyone in Ft. Macy Park or anything.
Here’s another interesting tidbit, ignored by the MSM (what a surprise). When the “Trump tape” surfaced, the tabloid show Inside Edition was absolutely salivating at the prospect of giving Trump a black eye. So, they took the tape to an audio forensics firm, and asked them to compare the voice to that of Trump during a CSPAN appearance during the same period.
According to the forensic analyst, there is a 97% chance the voice from the People magazine interview is NOT that of Trump. Amazing, Inside Edition ran the story and to their credit, they reported their findings.
I’ve never seen anything like this. Trump knows how to get in someone’s head and mess with them like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
Now the media is begging John Stewart to come out of retirement as the “big guns” to bring against Trump since nothing else seemed to work. Lol.
Problem? There is no problem. The reporter with Megyn Kelly suddenly doesn’t have the tape? She lost it? Well how convenient is that?
Trump has denied that is his voice. The only thing the media can do now is to bring in an expert to analyze a 25 year old recording. If the analyst says it is Trumps voice, all Trump has to do is say it is not his voice and “who you going to believe the lying media who everyone knows is after me, or me”

She taped the original Trump/Miller call. We have no evidence that Trump himself recorded the phone call. Only Sue's word that Trump had a copy.
In various interviews, Sue was peeved that Trump "punked" her.
As an aside, Sue is a regular poster on HuffPo and, per Twitter, has had a career collapse due to depression, drugs, and alcohol.
Furthermore, an editorial rep from WaPo was on TV (saw it on youtube) claiming that they had carefully vetted the source of the John Miller audio tape.
That would strongly imply that Trump was not the source.
Sue would have a lot to gain from turning over the supposed "lost" tape to WaPo.
It would get her back in the public eye via interviews and possibly kickstart her dead career. WaPo might have even offered her an avenue for her stories...at least a chance.
Just saying...stay tuned.

I have yet to hear THAT tape and your reasoning make perfect sense to me.
