The guy sounds a lot like Trump. If he’d used a few Trump phrases like: “if you want to know the truth” or, “that I can tell you”, most people would have thought he was Trump.

The other reason (I think) he did this is to establish the point that the media considers 25-year old activity to be relevant to this election decision. Now, when Trump brings up all the Clinton-era scandals, how are they going to claim, “oh, old news, that was so long ago, it doesn’t matter anymore.” Oops....
