You misunderstand my post. I interpret what Trump said as a dig at Cruz's latest lame video.

I read that Sanders got four (4) more pledged delegates in Oregon than Hillary. He’s now about 280 behind. At this rate, he should catch her some time in 2024.

“However, Bernie is too well educated and mature to actually believe in Socialism as the answer to America’s problems.”

Disagree with this - Bernie is as true a believer as there is. The authenticity with which he speaks is a large part of why people like him. They believe him because HE believes what he’s saying. He’s not micromanaging every speech with poll-tested words - he’s speaking from the heart and that sells.

Of course, his solutions to the problems he’s identified are absolutely wrong but he genuinely believes his solutions are right.

Well, here's the latest overall delegate count and popular vote count for Trump after Oregon .

Currently CNN is showing Donald Trump with 1175 total delegates. But the counting in Oregon is not complete so they show him with 18, and Cruz and Kasich both with 3.

I believe Trump will end up with 20 delegates, so I am going to go ahead and call it that way, meaning Trump will have 1177 delegates.

So as of March 18,2016,:

Donald Trump has 1177 delegates. He needs 60 more delegates to clinch the nomination at 1,237

In terms of popular vote overall, Trummp is taking Oregon with 67% of the vote. With 80% in, he now has 214,400 votes.

If that holds, it means he will end up with approximately 268,000 votes. Up to this point Donald had 10,925,000 votes total. If we add the 268,000 to that, we get 11,1930,000.

The record for the most votes for any GOP Presidential candidate in a GOP Presidential Primary is 12,035,000 for George W. Bush in 2000.

In the upcoming primaries, which include California, Donald Trump now needs another 842,000 votes to set the all time GOP record.

IMHO, he is going to break that record by as much as a million or more votes...and the amazing thing is that he is going to do it in a field that started with 17 candidates, and held numerous candidates until later in the primaries. Simply amazing turnout.

“Steve Forbes would have been a great president...Wonder if he is interested in VP, he’s 68 years young.”

VERY INTERESTING. I cannot get him out of my head. He was the first true populist to go against the GOPe. It was 1996, and he ignited a FIRESTORM as he attacked the IRS and our tax code.

It was the first time that I saw the GOPe in action. They quickly said that he was an ‘empty suit’, and, sadly, he was. His downfall happened when he was asked whether ‘income’ from employer health insurance benefits would count as taxable income under his flat tax. He said something like “I presume that will be the case”. That was his downfall. He also, like Herman Cain, was simply not up to speed in dealing with the (Karl Rove prompted) US media, world politics, and (again like Cain) got tripped up on what should have been an easy question.

But what I remember most was the GOPe INSISTING that Forbes would be a DISASTER down-ballot. Like Trump they had nothing to base their assessment on...but unlike Trump, Forbes was not at the brilliance level needed to deal with this bunch. So Forbes got dispatched for the ‘safe’ Bob Dole, who easily got defeated by Clinton.

...but Trump is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT character, and is damn close to winning it all.

I’m voting for Bernie in the WA primary. :) Since Trump is a lock for the Republican delegates here, I might has well make life hell for Hillary.

No, Steve Forbes is not a good VP candidate. One billionaire is enough. Mr. Forbes has some good tax policies but that’s about it.

Also, I’ve heard other Freepers talk about how Trump’s son could run for president in 2024. I hate political dynasties, they are undemocratic and lead to rent-seeking dynasties like the Walker-Bush clan.

Great. This will be a record-breaking phenomena. Simply Amazing!

GreenPapers is good for accuracy and they had Trump over 11 million votes prior to the Oregon primary. All the Oregon votes may not be carried over to the main page yet, but they have Trump as 11,241,262 votes. The GP stats are from the Oregon SoS page.

Steve Forbes would have been a great president. Wonder if he is interested in VP, he’s 68 years young.

On trade, I am a free trader. I don't want tariffs -- to me, tariffs are taxes. And on immigration, I think his proposals are a non-starter, legally and morally.

Everything posted on this thread is nothing but positive information and positive comments. This is what our country cries for...positive results. Mr. TRiUMPh has repeatedly been gracious to Sen Sanders, saying the only reason to beat him is due to policy differences. He, in his fashion, admires Bernie as Bernie is attempting to make America great again in his own way...just chose the wrong way to do so. Bernie in his demeanor won me over during the first debate w/Hillary. If not for policy, he would have been a terrific grandfather figure. Keep on track TRiUMPh Train. America steered on your track will be Admirable, powerful, justice filled once again.
