For those with eyes to see, the culture war weve been fighting for over half a century the war of Christianity vs. Marxism has entered a new phase. The Marxists have for all practical purposes defeated the American church, the last major barrier to global government, and the battlefield has shifted and broadened to the international community of the developed western world. There, as here, the Marxist elites have already successfully implemented LGBT cultural supremacy and granted favored status to Islam, to neutralize Christian political influence (in all but a few pockets of resistance, such as the countries of the former Soviet Union).
Having thus severely weakened the western nations their new emphasis is the elimination of national boundaries, while creating the infrastructure for global governance under the pretext of climate change and sustainable development. That Transforming Our World agenda was formally adopted September 25, 2015 by the UN General Assembly in a campaign led by Barack Obama and endorsed by Pope Francis.
They are moving so very swiftly now that they have awakened the sleeping giant of nationalistic populism internationally. That has produced the Donald Trump phenomenon, BREXIT, and the rise of the so-called Far Right in numerous countries. An ideological world war has begun that will result in enormous political and social chaos that the elites will attempt to use to their advantage by expansion of the police state but with a globalist flavor.
Much of the American church is stuck in the value voter strategy of the past decades (one which I have fully embraced for most of my adult life), placing its hope in Ted Cruz, the magnitude of whose loss reflects just how much value voter influence has diminished a fact that should sober all of us, even those many Christians who support Trump. If Mr. Cruz had run against Dole, McCain or Romney he would have won the primaries in a landslide and become the darling of the conservative movement. But the political landscape has changed dramatically and irreversibly because the globalists have defeated our moral-values agenda and have begun their one-world end game.
The fight now is existential for the concept of national sovereignty that underlies all forms of government in the world political order even the strongest and best of all of these forms, our Constitutional Republic (as it was envisioned by our Founders and honored by our grandparents).
After World War I, those who failed to adapt themselves to the new paradigm of war built the concrete-bunkered Maginot Line in France as the ultimate, unconquerable defense against German aggression. But in WWII, the Germans just drove around it.
As American Christians, lets not make the mistake of fighting the last war rather than the next one. The battlefield has changed and we can exploit that change to our advantage if were smart. Lets help the populists defend national sovereignty and defeat the Cultural Marxists, AND be fully prepared to reoccupy the positions of cultural influence that the Marxists stole from us as they are pushed back across the cultural battlefield similar to the way the Russian Orthodox Church under Putin has re-claimed the positions of cultural influence in the Russian Federation from the Soviet Communists.
Well look at where we are at:
1. We are now fighting battles over bathrooms.
2. We have forced homosexual marriage in our culture.
3. We have normalized illegitimacy.
4. We are on the road to normalizing drug use in our laws.
5. Political correctness has become the dominant thought process. Even those of us who think political correctness is horse blank, still consider it when you are making comments in public about issues, or talking to people, or are on forums like this. There is great fear of being called a racist/bigot/hater and we are having to qualify our statements that we don’t hate someone. We’re on the defensive because of the suffocation of political correctness.
Mr. Lively sums up our current situation brilliantly.
We have to defeat the One Worlders before they consolidate their power and make their final move on stamping out Christianity.
Bingo on all points!
Lively has prescient insight that few others possess, and the ability to express it. Perhaps his going head to head with the most vicious of sodomites has strengthened that muscle?
In other words Rome is burning, and we can no longer afford the luxury of debating which of the candidates holds the more Biblically pure views on parental labeling for music lyrics.
Rome is largely burning exactly BECAUSE of the cultural decline, like the obscene music lyrics that you mention.
We can’t forget that.
If you find yourself debating such things, do not be troubled, you're already dead.
Not only stamping out Christianity (which is impossible) but stamping out the independent governments and nations of the world and our monetary system.
It has been obvious since the whole gay marriage ordeal that eventually they are going to expand the civil rights act to encapsulate gay rights. That’s where this is all going and then Biblical Christianity will be effectively illegal. I can’t understand why no one is openly discussing this. I have yet to hear anyone openly state this on American Family Radio or any of the big 3 AM talk radio channels. The idea that one will have to be politically correct when delivering a sermon or face penalties and or jail has been brought up. Criminalizing Biblical Christianity and cleansing Christians from all public sphere’s of life is what this is about.
Lively’s point is that Trump could never have been considered the conservative candidate in a time of “values voter” considerations. We are past that, because the threat is now different and much more severe. Even with his flaws, Cruz DOES represent the conservative values that we USED to hold dear as true conservatism. How many Senators joined him when he attempted to filibuster the funding of Obamacare? Cruz only appears “bizarre” because our viewpoint has become so skewed by the current environment.
And I’m not sure how you link Glen Beck as an embraced figure by Cruz. Carly? What gives with the new denigration? She was championed by quite a few conservatives on this site who now support Trump.
By the way, I COMPLETELY agree with you on our horrible neglect of local government. Conservatives’ are asleep at the wheel, making local races and policy making easy pickings for the left, who is able to organize and energize their base much more effectively where conservatives are out to lunch.
Yes, I’ve been involved. I stood to speak at my city council meeting in opposition to the “transgender” fascist ordinance that was before it, surrounded by the contempt of the most bizarre and demonic cross-dressers imaginable.
Good for you. We need more of that everywhere.
I agree 30 years ago Cruz would have been considered mainstream conservative but IMHO Beck is deranged and Ted appeared with Beck a lot in Indiana as well as the “deal” with Kasich. But to each his own. It just appeared when it was certain Cruz had no chance he showed way too much desperation. I have been around a long time, since Ike, and I have seen candidates self destruct many times out of some lust for the office.
If you want the office, you go for it with all you’ve got. If you want to call that “desperation,” fine. I call it good old fashioned determination.
No one wins without it.
The founding father’s didn’t look at the office that way. Washington had to be begged to take the office and begged again to accept another term. Jefferson didn’t even list being president on his tombstone. Different times, different ideas about what the office was about. Many early presidents took the office out of a sense of duty. They did not look upon it as the be all and end all of their existence. The office outlives the man.
