The Fed has destroyed our purchasing power and has been instrumental in ruining our economy and our lives, so it's time to destroy the Fed.

If all states would band together and make this happen it would destroy the Federal Reserve with no help needed from the District of Corruption.

Get busy President Donald...make this an issue and with the help of state governments it will happen. Payback time to an evil, out-of-control central socialist government.

This paragraph is a bit off-putting:

Because citizens have been buying up gold and other precious metals, being able to ensure the “security and safekeeping” of their assets is “paramount to their utilization as investments in the event of an economic crisis,” the final measure declared, implicitly suggesting that the commodities would be used as money in the event of serious turmoil. As such, Tennessee lawmakers decided to support the establishment of an institution in the state to help citizens protect their gold and other precious metals.

Like Texas announced a few months ago. But I have to wonder:

Economic good sense?
Or a chance to rip off foolish gold owners when they will need it most?

I’m glad that they are talking about this, even if I wouldn’t ever trust them to hold my valuables.

As I (We) often say: If it isn’t in your hand (Protected by a gun in your other hand) , stuffed in your mattress, locked in your own well secured vault, or secretly buried under your own land, it isn’t really your gold

If all states establish "gold repositories" it will be very easy to confiscate their citizen's "Barberous Relics" at the appointed hour!

For the state to store it’s own gold, fine. But any citizen who stores their gold their needs their head fully examined by a competent neurologist. If all looks ok, send them to a mental health professional.

If there is anything in Ft. Knox besides dust I would be much surprised.

I have thought for a while that the best way of establishing a state gold repository lies in creating a standardized quality specie.

That is, when citizens bring gold in, it is first checked for radioactivity, then melted and purified to .999 (or so) purity. This is the “real value” of what the state recognizes as their gold.

Then it is cast into numbered ingots, that are laser engraved like Canadian Maple Leafs, and put in tamper proof packages redeemable only by them, or by court order if there is a judgment against their assets.

Of course, if they bring in minted coin, it would be checked and very accurately weighed before securing in their container.
