Obama at Hiroshima: 'Death fell from the sky'

Barack Obama on Friday paid tribute to the "silent cry" of the 140,000 people killed by the world's first atomic bomb attack and sought to renew attention in his unfulfilled vision of a world without nuclear weapons, as he became the first sitting U.S. president to visit Hiroshima.

"Death fell from the sky and the world was changed," Obama said, after laying a wreath, closing his eyes and briefly bowing his head before an arched monument in Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park that honors those killed on Aug. 6, 1945, when U.S. forces dropped the bomb that ushered in the nuclear age. The bombing, Obama said, "demonstrated that mankind possessed the means to destroy itself."

Yeah dumbo

The world changed
Japan accepted surrender and an estimated one million American soldiers did not have to be sent to die to occupy a Japan where millions of Japanese men women and children would have been ordered to fight to the death or commit suicide

Not that any of his useless genetic material donors ever were called on to make the ultimate sacrifice

Maybe he should go honor his grandpa the supply clerk buried in Punch Bowl cemetery and hear the silent cries of some of the hundred thousand Americans who died in Japan’s offensive onslaught acoss the Pacific

“Why doesn’t anyone remind Obama of the Rape of Nanking where the Jalanese killed hundreds of thousands one at a time, up close and personal?”

He knows all that. He’s not stupid. He’s evil.

Did the USA get the message across? Unfortunately, not the first time. In all honesty, did The Emperor of Japan suggest, he would like to see us try that again?

I realize the tragic significance of the atomic bomb ... It is an awful responsibility which has come to us ... We thank God that it has come to us, instead of to our enemies; and we pray that He may guide us to use it in His ways and for His purposes. — President Harry S. Truman, August 9, 1945[170]Radio Report to the American People on the Potsdam Conference by President Harry S. Truman, Delivered from the White House at 10 p.m, August 9, 1945

When will he get around to condemning communists for their (true) war and other crimes?

"'The Black Book of Communism,'; a scholarly accounting of communism's crimes, counts about 94 million murdered by the supposed champions of the common man (20 million for the Soviets alone), and some say that number is too low."
