Typical political bait and switch- keep attention on historical grievances while cleaning the place out and doing immeasurable damage to the future.

Mrs BN & I were in Jo-burg in 1980. Skyscrapers, expressways, clean, modern (in some ways more modern than Atlanta, which we were familiar.) Blacks & whites working together, eating in restaurants together.

Sure, there was apartheid, but Soweto was so different than the news media portrayed it. We had “tea” with the black man who was in the same job in South Africa as my wife was in Kenya.

Hopefully, South Africa will not pull an “Idi Amin”, run off all the “Asians” (Indians) and totally destroy the economy. Hopefully.
