Hillary in big trouble. NJ always teases in every election, but Trump is well known here and can win NJ if things break right nationally. It will be a long shot, but this is encouraging.

New Jersey: Clinton Holds Narrow Lead Trump in General Election

That's one way to put it.

Another way to put it is this: Hillary Clinton, Smartest Woman In The World, is just barely ahead of the Republican candidate she once thought was a joke and wouldn't even deign to respond to, in one of the most reliably liberal states in the most reliably liberal region of the country.

If Clinton is fighting to win NJ now...

Landslide for Trump in the fall...

I’ve been telling folks this since last year.... Hillary has NO SHOT against Trump in a general election.

Trump will win states no one in the “establishment” or “punditry” remotely thought would be in play, let alone go blue.

Hillary’s highest possible result is about 15 states and about 180 EC votes.. reality is she will likely get 10 or less, and under 100 EC votes.

The states that pundits claim are the battleground will be locked up by Trump by September if not August. By October, the democrats will be spending insane amounts of money and effort just to keep what they and the pundits think are solid blue states in the fold.

Trump will take most if not all of the Rust Belt... WI and MN likely being the only holdouts.. since the GOPe poisoned WI during the primary with their nevertrump crap there. IL may even wind up blue as the combination of a horrible democratic candidate and all the problems in Chicago will likely suppress turnout there. Trump will take states in NE and I fully expect NJ to go Trump and I’d say at least 50/50 that NY itself may go Trump when its all said and done.

The classic map that has been the makeup of most of the last 7 elections is meaningless this cycle.... Dems are on their way to a routing.

LMAO. Obama beat Romney in NJ by 18 points.

It’s one of the bluest states.

Bye, Hillary.

"Monmouth University Poll"

There we have the reason that the polling has The Hag supposedly leading. The Poll is run by Hagsters,

A bunch of never-employed college hipsters led by tenured university agitators/professors, illegals, union thugs, and inner-city zombies supporting her.

I believe Trump will win the general fairly easily, but he has no shot of carrying NY or NJ.

She should be + 12 to + 18 in NJ. This is very bad news for her.

These polls are a real waste of money at this point. Them when Hillary is the nominee and selects her VP and use a likely voter model. Until then all the polls are just angry Bernie people pretending they won’t vote for her in order to give him a talking point. Just like the Cruz pole who wouldn’t vote for Trump for the same reasons. True there are the hardcore Beckties but for the most parts Dems vote Clinton and Repubs vote Trump

I believe that as things now stand Trump could beat Hillary in an honest election.

But as democrats have once again shown throughout this 2016 primary season, where their mad desperation to push Hillary White House is concerned, there will be no honest elections.

4% lead with registered voters in NJ of all places from a pretty decent pollster...

Yeah, if you’re in the Hillary! camp, you have to be worried. If NJ goes to Trump, it’s over.

it is absolutely beyond any reasonable and rational comprehension how any good law abiding American would want this cold blooded criminal as the next president of the US. Good law abiding American, the operative words.

I don’t know if it’s that much of a long shot. Crispy Creme is a Republican so we may be seeing a paradigm shift in NJ based on party affiliation, not necessarily conservatism.

I’m not saying Trump isn’t conservative but rather, it depends how well liked Crispy is in NJ. The bridge scandal doesn’t seem to have hurt him much but I don’t know I don’t live there.

Gov Creme has done some good there, taking on the teachers union. So maybe that has resonated positively with the populace. If so, his endorsement of Trump may reasonably put Trump over the edge.

As others pointed out if Trump is competitive in NJ, this race is already over. We will have to see how NJ (and NY) shape up closer to Nov.

“Another 11% volunteer that they will vote for a third party or independent candidate”

I wonder if this is Bernie or Mittens supporters.

Not to be dismissed is the fact the media and Republican bosses went all out to destroy Trump (including the talk radio heavy hitters), while at the same time running interference for Hillary at every turn.

We’re still not in a true head-to-head race at this time - these polls don’t hold a lot of water.
