No it is not what our Republic is about, but the perps are illegal aliens from all over Mexico & South America. It is what their home countries are about.

So, is he changing his "If they bring a knife, we bring a gun" rhetoric to, "If they bring a gun, we bring a flower, and some fresh-baked cookies"?
He knows hw the people are starting to perceive the truth about community-organizer tactics and senses that we are really fed up with those who consider violence the only "rational response" to those that one disagrees with.
If they keep this up, or ramp it up, Trump may very well take 45+ States.

"Mr. Trump is exploiting voters resentment of immigrants and gays."
That's ILLEGAL immigrants, Mr.President. IT'S THE LAW!, as you folks are fond of saying.
As for gays or transgenders, the only thing I remember Trump saying is that he'd let Caitlyn/Bruce Jenner use the women's restroom in his buildings. He also said he thinks restroom policy is a state and local matter. Maybe I missed it, but he has hardly said anything else about gays, much less made the issue a primary focus of his campaign.

"Democrats must remind ourselves of who we are . . . "
That "who we are" phrase is the Dems' latest slogan. It's used to falsify history, as when opposition to gay marriage or men in women's restrooms is said to go against "who we are" as a nation.

It’s a typical democrat cheap shot. And one which they know their shills in the media will not rebuke.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

It is very important for us to remind ourselves of who we are and what is best about American democracy, and not slip into some of the bad habits that currently manifest themselves in the other party, Obama said.
Uh, yeah, obama, you mean like all of those Republicans who always assault yours and Crooked Hillary’s supporters leaving your rallies while waving Mexican flags and burning U.S. flags, right? You P.O.S.
