Newt Gingrich wants you to know Donald Trump is still doing great!

I was stunned over the weekend when Newt Gingrich went hard after Donald Trump for the real estate mogul's comments about the ethnicity of a judge overseeing a case involving Trump University.

*snip*

Given that back and forth, I reached out to Gingrich to see what he made of the hubbub — and whether it had changed his generally positive views on Trump. It has not.

Here's what Newt told me:

Trump is going to be fine as a candidate. He is learning very rapidly. When [Ted] Cruz dropped out so early it took away the 60 days Trump and his campaign needed to get organized to lead the entire party and a general election campaign.

As someone who never ran for office before and who has had an amazing 11-month run (replacing 16 more seasoned candidates including a number the Washington elite would have bet on), Trump has shown a remarkable ability to perform and to learn.

Trump's complaints about the judge and the law firm in the Trump University case are valid and reflect a growing pattern of politicized "justice." Criticizing the judge for his membership in a radical La Raza San Diego group would have been legitimate. Focusing on ethnicity was not.

After all, if we've learned anything in this campaign it's that Trump likes people who agree with him. And really doesn't like those who don't.

Unlike Obama and Hillary.

Newt is being gracious.
Expending valuable political capital on some third world low life la razza judge does not make any sense at trumps level. He definitely has lot to learn.Like Newt says he is learning and this, political science,is all new to him.

The tiger’s stripes didn’t change.

Newt could have said all of this instead of saying Trump going after the judge was the worst mistake he could have made.

Today should be a coronation day for Trump—a victory for a man who has had to endure daily vilification for the last 51 weeks, as the primary season ends.

Instead, Newt’s comments gave the usual GOP-E suspects the opportunities to bash Trump once more.

They happily took their places in the circular firing squad and commenced firing.

Once again, Newt cannot help himself from taking the opportunity to play top pundit.

Enough foolishness.

We have a country to save.

Go Trump!!

(Worth noting: Even many conservatives have debunked the idea of Curial's membership in La Raza.

And then he cites Red State as his evidence - LOL.

"Newt has been a rather naughty boy, if I may be so bold, sir."

"But I corrected him."

It’s a game called “earned media” and Trump is teaching Newt and others how to use it effectively to beat the Democrats.

It sounds so condescending. Newt is so wise and experienced, he lost his primary. Trump is such a neophyte, he won his.

Why are some so enthusiastic about Newt? That pic of him cozying up to Pelosi and man-made global warming gets more disgusting every time I see it.

Hey Newt
Why the hell didn't you bring uo the issue about LARAZA when you were on TV

And why aren't you issuing a statement about it now to all the MSM

The harm you did is inexcusable

The focus is on the judge being Mexican. Trump has drawn them out to be critical.

After the anti surge has climaxed, Trump can play the La Raza card and blame every news agency and several Republicans for favoring the sundering of America back into Aztlan

Trump has laid a trap

Trump has laid a trap

He did indeed. And I think Newt helped.

Newt's too close to the campaign not to have been a part of it.

Newt is a fair weather friend. Typical GOPe.

Remember Newt and Pelosi on the couch telling us how global warming was real.

I wish Trump had said Mexican Activist instead of Mexican, but maybe that was done purposely to stir up the controversy and shed light on the activism of the judge.

I know I have been checking out LaRaza and the LaRaza Lawyers. The press has been treating LaRaza as a Hispanic rotary club, when this is actually a racist un-American organization. LaRaza Lawyers has links to LaRaza
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3437185/posts

despite what the press says about there being no connection.

Newt got 15 mire seconds of fame but lost his credibility in the process.
