I think Newt has blown his ride as VP. Trump doesn’t need a fair weather partner.

Newt is a very intelligent man, but is not too smart. Maybe Calista told him to say that, who knows.

Interesting situation. Just one more chapter in the most interesting election ever.

While I’m sure the Donald is right, it definitely looks like this judge is far from impartial, I think it should not have become a campaign issue.

I wondered from the start why he didn’t bring out the LaRaza connection from square one, instead hitting him just because he is Mexican. It’s true he is a born American, but the judge himself has been quoted as saying he’s Mexican, so Trump was not totally wrong in referring to him as Mexican. The judge did it, Trump can too.

Some of you may have a good point, this may be a trap, if so the media took the bait like a perch nibbling at a hook. Newt was probably in on it if that’s the case, he’s too close to Trump to not know what’s going on. Unless Trump left him out of the loop too, as a test. No telling. Trump has always been 3 steps ahead of everyone else. I doubt there’s any animosity between them, unless Trump set a trap for Newt too.

I guess we’ll see how this plays out, but one thing I’ll bet on, the media is wrong, it won’t hurt Trump at all, same as every other time they’ve said its over, it’s just getting started...this will gain Trump more support, one way or another.

I heard a comment this morning, someone on Fox has been interviewing voters on the street, said most don’t care about this Trump U issue. As usual, the most common issues are economy and national security.

I never have been able to understand all the Newt worship.

He should not be given much attention.

First he is a serial womanizer who was having an affair while chastising BJ “the bent one” Clinton for having an affair.

He thought there was going to be big money in the selling of carbon credits which is why he was so thrilled to jump on the couch with that reprobate Pelosi.

Newt has had what one or two good moments?

Trump would do well to distance himself from Newt.

Sorry but I do not believe for one second Trump talks to Newt “daily”. Who is pushing that anyway? Hummmm........maybe Newt?

Sorry to burst the bubble but Newt is establishment. The couch proved that.

“He thought there was going to be big money in the selling of carbon credits which is why he was so thrilled to jump on the couch with that reprobate Pelosi.”

OMG! It was a cash deal all along! I knew about the carbon credits, but I never connected it to Newtie because he was “on our side”. I could never understand how someone that smart could buy that crap, but I never connected Newt with that much corruption. Careless on my part.

I don’t think Trump is “learning. “ He is showing everyone how it’s done. The rest of the world is learning.

Hey Newt. Learn.

I’m as big a Trump supporter as you will find and even I think he is blowing it with the way he is going after the judge.

He should have focused on his connection to La Raza and the law firm that paid the Clintons $650,000. He should have forced the MSM to report this. He could have used the issue to force the MSM to report the scam International University that Hillary sent $500 million of our tax dollars in return for $16 million paid to Bill Clinton.

He should be attacking her on the economy and jobs after the lousy reports came in. This was supposed to be one of his signature issues. There is so much more and we hear nothing. Instead of widening his base, he has let Clinton own the news cycle for a month, while ticking off many more people than he has to.

Their playing good cop, bad cop. It balances the eventual ticket in my opinion. Historically, I felt the good cop here usually played the bad cop. So we will see how long this lasts. They are not playing checkers... if they are then I over-estimate their ability to project a balanced approach.

But I do like him as a leader in the 90’s, a historian, and his constitutional interpretations for the most part. Very capable in my opinion.

There is no question GW self destructed by not taking up/defending himself. Trump will definitely not have that problem.
