A senior Israeli official justified the "profiling" of Muslims as potential security threats on Monday after U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump said Americans should adopt Israel's disputed practice.
Arabs, who make up a fifth of Israel's population, and Palestinians living under Israeli occupation have long complained of being singled out for scrutiny and searches at security checkpoints when going about their routine activities.
Trump, the Republican front-runner who has been buoyed by Americans' worries about Islamic militancy, said on Sunday he believed that "profiling is something that we're going to have to start thinking about as a country".
"You look at Israel and you look at others, and they do it and they do it successfully," he told CBS' "Face the Nation".
Asked about the remarks, Israeli Transportation and Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz declined to discuss the U.S. election campaign but was unapologetic about Israel's methods.
"Ultimately these (security) apparatuses ... must build a profile of characteristics as to where the danger comes from and locate it," he said in a briefing to foreign journalists arranged by the Israel Project advocacy group.
"It is not the whole population, but sometimes when there is a specific form of terrorism, you can seek out Islamic terrorism only among Muslims."

Israel is effectively walled off most of the West Bank, and is now starting to build an underground wall around Gaza designed to thwart tunneling. Israel has profiled relentlessly for decades, and for the most part, the US has supported their efforts, and even paid for them. Someone should ask Ryan if he supports the walls Israel is building or has already built, and their use of profiling. He will undoubted say he does support them, and then he should be required to explain why the US can’t protect the security of Americans in like manner.
Israel is surrounded by vicious savages who have vowed to eliminate Israel. They all have one thing in common: muzzie. Israel has been fighting them off since 1948, and knows what to do. We can learn from Israel.

Jordan held a slip of for I think less than 20 years and that was retaken by Israel after the Six Day War, and Jordan signed it away in an peace treaty.
Second, almost 2 million Israelis are Arab citizens, they vote.
The rest probably should be kicked out since they where allowed into Israel under the European negotiations in Oslo.
But since Abbas quit the negotiations after more than 20 years without honoring any of his side’s promises in order to Join Hamas weeks before they started showering Israel with more than 10,000 missiles, the Pallies have no right to stay in Israel.

The major people in Israel are Arabs, both Muslims and Christians. There are non Arab Christians, and there are Jews from Spain and other European countries.
The Problem only comes from the Arab Muslims. They hate Jews and Christians alike, they have cleans both from Muslim country’s.

A Western, Democratic, liberal, capitalistic, free and open society dictates that she make bids for peace and security. She has tried and partially succeeded (Egypt + Jordan).
If she were like ALL her animal neighbors, the Palestinians Arabs would have been wiped out decades ago but, alas, she extends her hand in peace, time and time again.
The Palestinians are given yet another chance to make peace but they keep turning the offers down and are used to doing this since 1917.
Every form of human savagery and terror has been thrown at Israel from the beginning, the kind we are seeing yet again with ISIS. Then, it was the “Fedayun”, then the “PLO”, then the “HAMAS” and now many other groups like “HIZBOLLAH”.
Israel had to stop or reduce the terror. Amazingly, 40 years ago, on America's Bicentennial, she employed her commandos to Entebbe, Uganda to rescue her hostages, kill the terrorists and destroy many Ugandan Air force planes on the ground. VICTORY over German-PLO terror was achieved.
Suddenly, in 1993 the murderous PLO became the murderous PA (Palestinian Authority). Now everything was wonderful under the true-spiritied and Nobel Peace prize winning Yassir Arfart. Israel has borne the brunt of the world's criticism for her profiling and doing what it takes to save lives, Jewish lives and if that means that blood thirsty Palestinians and others have to die then so be it!
Law enforcement either pays equal attention to EVERYONE or they profile and pay more attention where crimes are likely.
I see a police car once a week in my neighborhood. If I drive 5 miles I’ll see a police car within 30 minutes. Both neighborhoods are probably ok with that arrangement though criminals and anyone supporting criminals in the other neighborhood are probably unhappy I don’t see more police (and they’ll see fewer).
If crime shifts 5 miles we’ll both be ok with police shifting their attention - at least I’ll prefer to see the police every 30 minutes in that case.
Profiling isn’t just for law enforcement. It happens just about everywhere. Big brands profile and spend 10s of millions of dollars marketing to specific groups not with one campaign for the entire country. It’s the way to apply limited resources to the population for the maximum return. I imagine CAIR will want to sue Oscar Mayer if they realize bacon ads don’t include Muslims and bacon endcap placement in Muslim neighborhoods are non-existent while I see them regularly.
I worked with an Arab Christian from Israel and she absolutely hated Jews. She said she had problems with Muslims too, but not as much as the Jews.
