Trump was brilliant being in Scotland and he is so,so,so lucky. The opening of his hotel happens to occur the day after the Brexit vote. What luck for media exposure.

The accusation that Trump turns the press conference into an advertorial well I say good for him. He dropped $55 million on us his supporters not to mention the thousands of grueling hours he works on out behalf. Good for him for plugging his new property.

He has lost quite a bit of business and assets since he has been running. It is about time he beefs up his wealth. With as many people who are against Trump he needs as much wealth and cash profits to fight the barbarians at the gate.

The press is a t fault for turning the conference into an advertorial. They could have limited their questioning to just Turnberry. They did not. They immediately launched into the campaign. It did benefit Trump but good for him.

If you have not seen the video of the press conference, Trump already looks like the president saying great things about the English and contrasting himself from Obama whom he depicted as failing at everything. Trump also shows his talent as a superior executive something where Clinton is out of her league.

In one simple press conference he gets tens of millions of dollars in free exposure in a single day to the whole planet and they know what he thinks. I bet the LEAVE voters of the referendum loved what he had to say.

All in all it was a win, win, win for Trump and a lose, lose, lose for Clinton-Obama.

To say the least, we have never seen a potential president mix his business interests with the political stage.

Not true. Hermann Cain announced his 9-9-9 tax plan at the same time that his company, Godfather's Pizza, was touting a $9.99 pizza deal.

How could he not pass up the publicity? Perfect positioning.

Trump inspired confidence, it was nice to have a grown up appearing on the International stage representing the future of America.

Keep in mind that Trump’s mother was born in Scotland, became a US citizen before he was born. Considering that, Trump just might help bring the Scots around to warm up to the Brexit.. I’d think it would be a very big deal....Trump has built this resort in his mother’s homeland, and now he’s practically royalty.

The accusation that Trump turns the press conference into an advertorial well I say good for him.

The accusation is baseless. Trump was at Turnberry to reopen it. ZERO political content intended or planned, other than thanking the local zoning and approval bodies for their cooperation and assistance.

As you note, it was the PRESS that made the occasion a political one, not Trump.

The world has plenty of “statesmen,” far more than we want or need. Suddenly John Kerry springs to mind, for some reason. Smart, tell-it-like-it-is business-savvy leaders? That we don’t have nearly enough of.

Having a hotel in the background that he just finished restoring as great again quietly speaks a message that if Trump can make this hotel great again, he can make America great again. Its what he does for a living.

Lost in the shuffle is the reality...... first and perhaps foremost, Donald Trump is a salesman.

In Scotland he was doing double duty selling the golf course and selling himself as president

He did a good job on both counts.

It was a brilliant move by Trump. It keeps the spotlight on him and what he has to say. Millions will be curious as to what he said. This spreads his message much further and keeps the media urgently waiting for what comes next.

It is a strategy that plays the media as a virtuoso.

In contrast, Clinton plays the media as a Soviet Era, ham fisted, bureaucrat.

I have noticed that Trump shares the spotlight with his employees and contractors. He publicly thanks the people that have been involved with his projects including the labor force up to the suits. You can readily see some of the attributes that make him a good leader. Contrast those qualities with Comrade Obama.

You make an excellent point.

How much of her own personal money has Hillary - or any Clinton - put into us, or even her campaign?? She doesn’t tip servers, and sometimes doesn’t even pay for meals at all.

Meanwhile, back in the US, the only thing Hillary Clinton is running is her mouth.

She might be having a sinking feeling right about now, seeing the revolt against the establishment globalists in the UK. She might also have a bad feeling about 0bama’s campaigning for her since he went over to London to lend his support to the Remain campaign, and he didn’t have any influence, and his support may have actually backfired on the Remain campaign.

To be honest; I’m very happy for him, the good fortune seen by him and the outcome of the BREXIT referendum. Any man who ‘STANDS WITH US’ is a man I wish to stand alongside. Thank you Mr. Trump. Thank You for saying aloud “AMERICA FIRST”
