So folks in Colorado have a cure for Alzheimers but most in the US will go to jail?

So if this is true and I quite frankly hope it is. They need to make it into a pill form and start prescribing it all all pre demential and worse patience effective today. But I think it can be done in pill form. Let’s use the weed for good.

Marijuana doesn’t need a redundant protein to make people stupid, that is its job. :/

Uh huh...then why are all the users I’ve ever known so forgetful? I guess if just accept all the other side effects....man boobs, lethargy / laziness, complacency, impairment of reflexes, etc....the stuff is “natural” and ergo “good” for you. Arsenic, cyanide, and ricin are all natural too. Might as well take it for my health too...lol

Its probably not true but weed addicts will always make outrageous health-benefit claims.

It would be super simple to prove this works, or does not work, with double-blind tests in alzheimer wards.

Coconut oil does help. Brains need good quality fat and lots of it.

In the end, it’s just a plant. It can be used for good or it can be used for bad.

Wonder if this could be used along the lines of biologics in auto-immune diseases.

Well, the marijuana will mess up your short-term memory too, but I suppose that’s not as bad as severe alzheimer’s where you don’t even know what year it is.

Lol, all the potheads I ever met were nearly indistinguishable from Alzheimer’s patients. It must be that marijuana removes the Alzheimer’s protein and replaces it with something worse.

I thought that Marijuana was a schedule 1 controlled substance, making it illegal to even possess, let alone research.

So when are these researchers in California going to be arrested and charged with possession, manufacturing, and running an illegal drug lab?

Those reasons are why nobody in the pharmaceutical industry did any research into the compounds contained in Marijuana.

That’s one reason why the majority of drugs of certain classes are all derivatives of cocaine and opium. The feds have lower restrictions on coke and heroin than plain pot

There’s no evidence that it “reverses” the damage done to neurons, and once neurons are lost, they aren’t replaced.

While this might slow the progress of dementia, it is no cure.
