Autism may carry benefit: buffer against Alzheimer’s.
My interest is in the Alzheimer’s/ dementia implications. Is it (behaviorally and then in the physical changes in the brain) possibly, among other things, a protective mechanism that kicks in to dull emotional pain?
Of course it is dangerous to muse publicly, esp before coffee :-
