The White House on Monday canceled a Fourth of July celebration for troops who were scheduled to attend an event on the South Lawn, citing the possibility of inclement weather.
However, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will proceed with a planned performance this evening from rapper Kendrick Lamar and singer Janelle Monae. Afterward, the couple will deliver remarks in the East Room of the White House.

I personally think that is good for the Troops, why would they want to be under military supervision instead of having the day off?
I bet the troops were being forced to go rather than an all volunteer attendance.

I certainly agree that he is a scum bag. I don't wish him ill, physically, but I just want him to go away! I CANNOT wait until Trump takes the Oath of Office and Obama is gone.
To whatever place he wants to go, as long it's not in the U.S. and he doesn't subject us to his interviews on Sunday talk shows, etc. That is my fear. He won't stop trying to inject himself into the national dialogue. He will continue to try to make himself relevant, even though it is so clear that no one wants him around.
