Trump Victory in Pennsylvania Hinges on 10 Counties, Experts Say
Real Clear Politics ^ | July 06, 2016 | Salena Zito

Western Pennsylvania has been the driving force in the state becoming more Republican said Henry Olsen, a Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. Olsen said voting patterns of former union Democrats displaced by trade deals and environmental regulations that impacted the coal industry contributed to the rightward push.

“If you look at the coal county of Greene, the person who is not looking closely says, ‘Oh well, Romney carried it by huge margins, so how can that make a difference for Trump?' Well he did, except potential turnout was down by 10 percentage points,” Olson said.

“If Trump gets that 10 percent back, that is only 1,500 to 2,000 votes in a small county like Greene, but then you get an extra 10 percent in Washington, Cambria, Indiana, Somerset counties, which have larger populations,” he said of neighboring counties with similar voting patterns.

“Then, all of a sudden, you are talking about an extra 200,000 votes; you have to look at turnout and margin as much as who carries it,” he said.

That math does not apply to Western Pennsylvania exclusively.

“The same goes for the Philly collar county of Bucks,” Wasserman said, as well as the northeastern coal counties of Luzerne and Lackawanna, “where Trump won't necessarily win, but could chip away at Clinton's margins.”

Wasserman said while the suburban counties of Pittsburgh neither resemble nor are as populous as the suburban counties of Philadelphia, “Philly's collar counties are not as blue as you would suspect, and Pittsburgh's collar counties need to have a larger turnout to make the difference.”

Democrats won the state in the past six Presidential election, not often not by much. George W. Bush came very close to winning there in 2004 and Mitt Romney made a strong showing there in spite of spending little time in the state.

Trump can win it.

The massive voter fraud in Philly will keep PA in the Clinton camp.

Can, and may need to.

FL + OH + PA

or FL + OH + VA + IA/CO/NH

Philly is last election locked out Republican Heads at the poll places. Literally locked the doors before voting- they all need to verify the machines are set to zero and working. Republicans had to call the police, which took a while for them to respond. Then the Dems were forced to unlock the doors.

Hope Trump people stay ahead of that game. I may email them this info so they can be prepared.

FWIW, the author works for our local newspaper and has been known to hang out on Free Republic. She knows our region very well.

I suspect Trump is going to have very robust anti-voter fraud team better than any other Republican candidate before him. Take some that ad money to put it to good use in key places around the country. Put together a large and robust team of pros to keep Hillary’s fraud lower than she expects.

I think the best thing DJT could do would be to hire off-duty police to show up in uniform and armed as poll watchers.

I think a few hundred poll watchers from the LE community would be enough. NY, Philly, Boston and Chicago would be a good start. We already know the high fraud precincts, and all of a sudden poll watchers being locked out, shady dealings in back rooms, etc. just don't happen. And, a lot of the felons will walk in, turn around and walk right back out.

Maybe we only need to do this in high fraud precincts in close states. But it could be a game changer.

Sorry, I should have clarified. They were the Precinct Officers who arrive before voting time to validate the machines, number of ballots, etc.
