Yes, even they can be forgiven of their atrocities against Christians, but I kinda doubt whether they will come to Jesus and ask forgiveness before then....................

And historically the church GREW MIGHTILY in the wake of martyrdoms.

An obvious reason is that people were asking why the church kept up in the face of that kind of ghastly attack. But also unbelievers had second thoughts about what Christ meant.

I think it best to give them the opportunity to come to know Jesus as soon as possible, by arranging a personal meeting.
