Ten years is a long time. What are the statutes of limitation in these cases?

Kelly has told investigators that Ailes made unwanted sexual advances toward her about ten years ago when she was a young correspondent at FoxAnd then....?

Hostile takeover of Fox News, IMO. They will veer to the left now. That's my fear as well. I know I'll get a thousand replies that FNC has already veered to the left. Get serious, FReepers... have you watched CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC lately?? FNC isn't 100% conservative by any means, but at least "our side" gets decent coverage and usually a fair shake.

He will be ruined by a charge easily made and hard to defend against. A person's reputation interest is as important as the fact he may have insurance or an indemnity clause in his contract. By the way intentional torts are not covered by insurance. Sexual harassment is probably an intentional tort. Kelly is a lawyer and knows that. Interesting in that they are all old charges and Carlson was fired hence has a motive to "get even.' Kelly is in the middle of negotiations over salary and perks hence has a motive to play "hardball." Carlson even praised Ailes in writing.

Generally the problem with this stuff is that the woman reports it and nothing happens. When I was young it happened to me many times but in the 80s, there was nothing you could do. You just quit the job and moved on. Finally, I did get a job where it came down from the top that if you tried any hanky-panky you were going to have the roof crash down. That was a great place to work.

Has anyone else notice that necklines are not as low on the female Fox ladies lately?

But some women want their cake and to eat it, too. Get job promotions from the boss and then turn on them once they get a little power. So true. Megyn has resembled some of those power-mad women ever since her "Megyn Kelly Presents" special. I think she's trying to become the next Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and/or Oprah.

Well, I watched her show and heard her daughter talk about it. But, what would her daughter know?

Yeah, that portion looks somewhat worked over.

Years ago, during the W Admin IIRC, the NY Post said Susan Estrich was at some event , and made a stink she was sitting next to some boring peon... Who was this man she was next to that was beneath her? A Secret Service agent (when that meant something in my book).

So he hires Susan Estrich??? Omg, is there a more grating, irritating voice than that?

Probably nothing can be done if it’s true. If you claim sex harassment, you’ve got to see it through to the bitter end. I suspect Megyn had bigger fish to fry.
