Blessed is Your Holy and Awesome Name! When we pause to consider that we have access to the God of the universe---the God of all Creation---the One, True God of all time---then Lord, how can we even comprehend so great a privilege? How can we neglect to take part in such an amazing opportunity? Lord, let us speak to You and hear from You throughout the day, that You may guide us and remind us of Whose we are.
We pray for our precious heroes in our military ranks today, asking that You place people in each of their lives who will help them find the straight and narrow Gate through salvation. Help them to find the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Lord, and then help them to lead others to You as well. Father, make their time of service one of great blessing even in the midst of sacrifice; of great growth even in the midst of many limits. Protect their families who miss them, and help them to wait in faith and in patience. Lord, we thank You for these who are willing to lay down their lives in protection of their fellow man.
Father, we all play a role in this nation----either for good or for evil. Help us to contribute to bringing America back to You, and let our efforts begin with ourselves as we submit to Your Will and Your direction for our lives. Give us the desire to please You alone, and then all the desires of our hearts will be brought to their proper place. We love You and need You. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
