The MSM has to go through some pretty convoluted contortions to come to that conclusion.
Hillary's bathroom server is now off line - so Russia can no longer commit "cyber-espionage" on her server. IF they have already committed this espionage, and cracked her unsecure secure server, the deed is already done. Trump is just asking the Russians (the MSM's and the Dem's bogieman that they created in an attempt at distracting from the MSM/DNC collusion revealed in the recently released DNC emails) to be helpful sports and to provide Hillary's missing emails - since she has searched, and searched, and been unable to find them...

Hillary said the emails were about baby showers. The FBI says they are no where to be found and the server wasn’t hacked. Trump mentions them and the media thinks he is encouraging Russia to commit cyber terrorism on content we’ve been told doesn’t exist on a server that is no longer in service.

The media is going to keep trying until the successfully jump up their own ass.

Carter expressed his concern about and opposition to Reagan's defense buildup. He boldly told Dobrynin that Moscow would be better off with someone else in the White House.

Using the Russians to influence the presidential election was nothing new for Carter.

Russian documents that show that in the waning days of the 1980 campaign, the Carter White House dispatched businessman Armand Hammer to the Soviet Embassy.

Hammer was a longtime Soviet-phile, and he explained to the Soviet ambassador that Carter was "clearly alarmed" at the prospect of losing to Reagan.

I disagree. It's very clever. If the Dems want to keep pushing the notion that the Russians hacked the DNC, then this is Trump's way of suggesting that the Russians have more than likely hacked Hillary's private server as well.

Plus, the "Putin as boogeyman" isn't playing well with most Americans, if for no other reason than Putin has been more critical of ISIS than some of our leaders in the West.
