The press shouldn’t hold their breath waiting for Hillary Clinton to take any questions

“Depends on who the moderators are. If the moderators can control the direction and tone of the debates she’ll make it through unscathed.”

Rewatch the last two Obama-Romney debates for a preview of the Clinton-Trump debates. Obama was prepared for every question, suggesting he had them in advance and his responses were scripted. The Candy Crowley intervention looked rehearsed although Obama almost messed it up by asking Candy to intervene too quickly, almost like he was impatiently waiting for the chance to sandbag Romney.

On the other hand, Romney often looked as though he was thinking through and formulating his answers while he was speaking indicating he didn’t get the questions in advance and his team did a poor job of preparing him.

If there are debates, expect in 2016 Hillary to answer only softball questions with rehearsed answers. Her answers will allow her to repeat the talking points about Trump. Nothing of substance. In contrast the questions asked of Trump will be tough and intended to paint him as a mean spirited racist bigot.

The moderators will step in if Hillary gets into trouble. They will also do everything they can to cut off Trump’s answers, particularly if the audience is responding positively.

If debates are held the moderators will be left wing journalists. There is no way Hillary will agree to Andrew Napolitano, Lou Dobbs, or any other conservative journalist to ask questions. She might agree to Bill O’Reilly but he will agree to play by Hillary rules if he is selected. O’Reilly has already demonstrated a willingess to go soft on Obama and other leftists in order to get the interview. He will also relish the opportunity to play the attack dog in questioning Trump in a debate.

Hillary will likely insist she pick the moderators - George Stephanopolis, F. Chuck Todd, and Andrea Mitchell would be likely choices. If Trump won’t agree to her choices, she won’t debate. The media will claim Trump is afraid and unwilling to be questioned by “objective” moderators.

And that, is what I fear. No one will hold this witch accountable.

FANTASY DEBATE QUESTION FOR HILLARY

You said you were "dead broke" leaving the white house? Did Bill's
850,000 payoff to keep Paula Jones quiet contribute to your financial situation?

The media can’t force her into one.

Can't and won't even try. If she were a Republican, we'd be treated to a daily count" clock showing the number of days since the last press conference. "What's she hiding?" would be the lead question to all their stories.

The one thing even Clinton can’t escape is the debates

I wouldn't be so sure about that. There are a lot of ways the debates could be postponed and canceled, increased last minute threats to "security" being one of them.

Neither. Bill’s had decades to teach her how to pull off the crocodile tears, so she’ll cry at the first sign of any real questioning, playing the “Rick Lazio” card without reservation.

Not going to work.

Trump will be ready for something like this and will really get into her face if she pulls the poor little “woman” act.

I don’t know what kind of President Trump will be, but I know if any of the other Republican hopefuls had won the nomination Hillary would be the next President because none of them would have stood up to her (and the media) bully tactics.

So what happens during the debates with Trump? Those events have unscripted questions, and are not really true debates but are joint press conferences.

Or will Hillary’s henchmen require that questions be submitted in advance and approved in advance?

or will some media member be like Candy Crowley in a debate, and give Hillary an assist at a crucial moment, to keep her on track????

If George is there, I hope Trump points out that George is a Clinton alumnus, having worked for them, and that he really should not be there as an interviewer due to obvious bias.

And regarding dead broke, I would ask Hillary to elaborate. Because we know both she and Bill had banked multi million dollar book advances just before they left the White House.

And the houses which Bill worked so hard to pull together the resources to buy them, are a mansion in Chappaqua(sp?) and a mansion in Washington, DC. Their two homes they bought when they were dead broke were both mansions.

Perhaps dead broke to Hillary means you just have a few million dollars, rather than hundreds of millions.

Trump should hold a press conference on her behalf. He can have the press ask any question to Hillary, and he will answer them truthfully on her behalf. It would be hilarious, and very damaging to the shrew.

“The one thing even Clinton can’t escape is the debates, and there will be questions asked there. Many, many questions. And when that happens it’s going to be a hot time in the old town for sure.”

Trump needs to hijack the debate and demand that they ask each other questions.

Depends on who the moderators are. If the moderators can control the direction and tone of the debates she’ll make it through unscathed.
Trump is not like the previous weak sisters Republicans had running before.
Trump has been practicing for the debates since he announced - almost every live interview has gotcha questions. He is used to them.
Hillary on the other hand has never really faced hostile questions. Will she rise to the occasion or fold like a $2 card table?
Looking forward to the first debate to see the answer.

I have seen this line for several months now, "Hillary is gonna have her clocked cleaned when it gets to the debates.." yada yada yada...

I don't see it that way.

Like it or not, you would have to admit she is a seasoned, skilled, and well versed debater; she's "been there and done that" many times, and with some of the best in the business.

He has not. Period.

She will be given easy, softball-like questions and issues by the moderators, who obviously will just fawn over the annointed one. With Trump, on the other hand, they will be merciless. His questions and his topics will be designed to trip him up, to expose any weaknesses, and to embarrass him in any way they can, or set it up for Hildabeast to do it.

Mark my words, it will NOT be a Hillary meltdown. In fact, it may be exactly the opposite.

I hope to God I am wrong.

She’ll only take questions her team has formulated ahead of time.
