He’s a very earnest seeming man with a dead son who seems to have been an outstanding young man.

While we should be grateful for this young soldier’s service in paying the ultimate price, it is also the case that Trump’s policy makes sense as we do not live in a world with unlimited time and resources to spend on an international problem when there are so many pressing domestic problems.
