Donald Trump’s campaign sent out an email to surrogates this week titled “URGENT PIVOT” as the campaign seeks to control the damage from Trump’s war of words with the parents of a Muslim U.S. Army captain killed in Iraq.
The memo, obtained by The Hill, asks surrogates on Capitol Hill to coordinate messaging and push back on attacks on Trump.
All — As usual, the media is working against our efforts and our messaging specifically as it relates to the tragic death of Capt. Humayun Khan,” Scott Mason, Trump’s director of congressional affairs, wrote.
“We are asking you to review and use the attached talking points in your daily messaging, including a release and/or statements you can put out in your social media immediately to support Mr. Trump and OUR message, that we must end radical Islamic terror so that soldiers like Capt. Khan, and all Americans, will be safe.”

Trump’s strength is that he DOESN’T bow to the political correctness.
Koobla Khan is a Demorat operative who conducted a Demorat attack on Trump, and Trump responded.

Katrina Pearson used some of that against Blitzer about an hour ago. Asked him to paraphrase or cite the attack that Trump supposedly made against Khan. The only thing that Blitzer could come up with was that Trump criticized Mrs. Khan for not speaking.

I think it is another ambush being laid out. The left (dnc, rnc, media) go full tilt and his campaign drops the bomb on who this Kahn fellow really is. There are also rumors circulating that “Capt. Kahn” isn’t quite the “hero” he’s being made out to be.

I suspect this is the same set of talking points sent to GOP House and Senate members. That makes it easy to get, becuase we know many of them will do everythinhg they can to torpedo Trump, so sending to them is a reliable way to get to the press.
Trump's rapid response team may be getting some legs. I think it's good to show this sort of hand to the press, becuase it is a strong hand, compared with what the press has, which is nothing but lies, speculation, and flawed reasoning.

I wasn’t upset because I trust Trump and don’t believe a Politico or Hill or whatever headline. I simply didn’t believe the headline, and I was correct. This is not a pivot. This is fight lies with fact.
Well I told you what I think.
I am impressed Trump stood up to these scum who falsefully believe they are untouchable, and I’m disgusted that pretty much no one else is willing to.
Pretty much the first time Trump has notalbly impressed me.
He should move on, yes, but NOT back down. Honor the fallen by PREVENTING the Butchress from being elected, that would be my line.
