Donald Trump's campaign announced Wednesday that it raised $80 million in July for his presidential bid and the Republican Party, a major uptick...

“We are extremely proud of our 69% growth in small dollar donations which shows the broad based support of over one million donors across America," Trump finance committee chairman Steve Mnuchin said in a statement.

“Our volunteers and contributors are clearly committed to electing Donald J. Trump as President in November.”

He needs to start spending it right away. Particularly in Florida.

We’ll let Trump decide what he needs to do!

Sounds like an excellent month, and with him still neck and neck, that helps explain the near media meltdown that we are seeing.

Why does everyone think spending money = winning? It didn’t for Yeb. It didn’t for Phil Gramm. It didn’t for Steve Forbes. And it didn’t for Cankles prior to the convention-—her numbers got worse.

I helped with that. Just do 50-100 a month.

$80 M is very respectable.

That’s not a media meltdown. It’s the media pivot to all-out, 24/7 negative attacks on Trump, which we all knew was coming.

And again, what evidence ANYWHERE is there that running these ads works?

They DIDN’T work for Cankles when she spent $50 m ?? prior to the convention and her poll numbers fell. They DIDN’T work with Yeb in the primary. And so on.

Hillary won the primary against Bernie. How is Trump going to win if he doesn’t have money to spend on ads and the media attacking him?

The $80 M is more for operating expenses more than anything. As Gingrich says Trump comes at you in waves just like in the primaries. He goes up then he goes down then comes back up stronger than before! On Trump’s next wave up he will go above 50.

You could ask that of Trump in the primaries and he won just fine spending a fraction of what the others did.

Cankles spent something like $50m in attack ads against Trump two weeks before the conventions . . . and fell in the polls. How’d that work out for her?

I have never seen anything like it! Yahoo is even posting every negative article they can find. I wish I could find something else besides yahoo but I am ignorant of internet.
Anyways, even some in his own party are still plotting and we must see they never hold office again for going against the wishes of real American.

I see about 20 Hillary ads for every 1 Trump ad here in Florida. Trump can’t just assume they make no difference. Ads make the biggest difference when you’re talking about negative advertising. That’s really what this race is all about. There are a lot of negative things you can say about Hillary. If you don’t do it, then you’re not really a fighter. You’re just presenting yourself as a target for Hillary.
