For some viewers, the talk about poverty, befouled water, criminal behavior, including corrupt military officers, shabby facilities for the athletes and of course the ‘Big Z’ (Zika!) all serve to reduce the excitement of this particular Olympics.
I thought the Iranian cyclist losing it on the downhill side of the mountain at 50 mph was exciting. After he nosed in, for a few seconds it was hard to tell what was Iranian and what was bike
I am not surprised. What we are seeing is an olympics in a 3rd world country that should not have had it in the first place.
But what else is on tonight, Big Brother? /s
Tonight swimming , women’s gymnastics, women’s diving and other popular events. People will tune in.
I have no interest in the Olympics.
Well not much on right now, either do the reality show, the talent show, if you are into golf, the golf tournament, NFL fans, the Hall of Fame Bowl, or the Summer Olympics.
I guess I last watched 8 or 12 years ago.
Football tonight.
I wish the husband unit would stop watching. It kills to add my household as watching this crap.
I am watching the Travelers Golf Championship.
Truth is , unless you are Nielsen ratings family , it really doesn’t matter.

I was turned off when I saw how they were pushing global warming during the opening ceremonies.
I was in Europe in June.
It wasn’t under water, despite the NBC assertions to the contrary....
I watched a few minutes of one of the equestrian events. That’s it. I do plan to watch some of the gymnastics, if it’s convenient.
For the last two or three olympics, I’ve grown increasingly cynical about the process.
US Mens’ Volleyball team looked pathetic getting swept by Canada.
This is the second time I had seen an olympic opening ceremony that got colored by politics. The first time was with London, after the James Bond and the Queen sky riding into the arena, during the history part, it talked about their health care system.
