Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sat dowb with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin Tuesday for a diplomatic reset just as relations with the United States and Europe show strains after last month's failed coup.
The summit was aimed at ending a period of high tension and trade sanctions after Turkey downed a Russian fighter jet near the Syrian border last November an act described by Putin as a "stab in the back."
Turkey's relations with traditional allies including the U.S. have faltered over Ankara's post-coup crackdown, which has seen nearly 18,000 people detained or arrested and tens of thousands suspended or fired from their jobs on suspicion of being associated with the movement of U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen.

Nice going there, Obunga!
Putin will go down in Russian history as the leader that pre-empted the United States in the middle east across the board. The real credit should go to Barrack Hussein Obama. I think that dope invited chaos because he wanted to help foster radical islam wherever he could; I don’t think he expected Russia to step in and fill the power vacuums left behind by the chaos.
Putin and Erdogan will never trust each other.
This is a temporary alliance of convenience.
0dunga-the-Muslim is hellbent on HINDERING the war on terror. He approves 100%.
Real coup, rushed by Obama who was aware of the Erdogan-Putin negotiations already in progress. Coup fails and this accelerates Turkeys 180 degree shift.
i really dont understand it, seem like they were going to strangle each other a moment ago
Trust but Verify, still works.
Erdogan getting pointers from Putin on how to be a dictator.
Sure is a big change from when stories were saying these two would go to war, I figured, it was Kabuki theater.

Turkey will control all the Oil and Gas going to the EU
I heard that it was the Russians who tipped off Erdogan a short time ahead of the attempted coup, which may have saved his life.
Makes you wonder whether things would have gone down differently if the US had better relations with Putin.
I don’t buy this “coup”. I think Erdogan engineered it.
Way too many people involved and way too much risk for Erdogan for this to be bogus. Simply a sloppy rush job.
EZEKIEL 38 & 39?
Yep, at least setting up the stage for the opening play.
Good catch... God is in control and setting the stage for coming events.
