Trump repeatedly accuses Obama of being the 'founder of ISIS'

Donald Trump accused President Barack Obama on Wednesday of establishing the Islamic State group that is wreaking havoc from the Middle East to European cities. A moment later on another topic, he referred to the president by his full legal name: Barack Hussein Obama.

"In many respects, you know, they honor President Obama," Trump said during a raucous campaign rally outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. "He is the founder of ISIS."

He repeated the allegation three more times for emphasis.

The Republican presidential nominee in the past has accused his opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, of founding the militant group. As he shifted the blame to Obama on Wednesday, he said that "crooked Hillary Clinton" was actually the group's co-founder.

The infamous red line incident was supposed to generate massive support for a US led war against Syria. It did not generate any such support. So an alternate plan was needed to oust Assad from Syria-ISIS.

And anyone who wishes to think that America wouldn't do such a thing needs to watch Charlie Wilson's war and consider how Al Queda formed. we know how that turned out. They might also take a look at how the Iraq-Iran war developed. We know how that turned out too. We know how ISIS will turn out.

Trump, to be fair, says he’d never have done the Iraq invasion either. So somewhere between Bush and Obama, ISIS was fomented. Bush by barging in but then treating the chaos with kid gloves, and Obama by kissing up to it.

Calling him by his Islamic name is an interesting move. In my thirty years of living in the city of Detroit, there was not one kid in the three schools I attended, or people I met or knew that had a Muslim name.

This was not “off the cuff”. He said it three times. He was hammering a point. He would not have done so if he was not confident that he could back up what he was saying.

Good that Trump is pounding on Obama for this, however decisions by the current President's predecessor, (Which Trump also blasted in responding to GOP advisers' NYT piece) need to be pounded on as well.

Bush created the Status of Force agreement with Nouri al-Maliki, that Obama followed, and signed off on the convoluted Iraqi (Also attempted to appease Islamic sects in the process which created more problems) constitution which enabled a stronger Islamic faction to rise within that mess.

The mentality of Bush's advisers were that of a child's fantasy rather than historiography and understanding that Islam is a counter-hegemonic force. Iraq needed a secular constitution/hard-lined leaders, not political games that put puritanical Sunnis vs. Shiites there. Of course all this should have been decided upon before the Iraqi "invasion". My guess is that "Saudi" was Bush's most influential advisers.
