“Trump crushed the alt right movement. Said no one even knows what that means”

“Alt. Right” is a meme created by MediaMatters and disseminated to media talking heads via DAILY KOS, just two weekends ago.

It did not exist before that.

I’ve been talking about this for more than a week. Is everyone paying attention now?

I posted about it last week, also.

I referenced whimpy traitor’s Ben Shapiro’s debut (?) article at WaComPost that used the ‘got my DNC memo’ alt-right phrase.

Really? 'Cause I've heard about the Alt-Right for a couple of years now.

The term ‘alt.right’ goes back to usenet days. It crept into the mainstream with Robert Spencer a few years ago.

Actually, it did. Big presence at 4Chan and Reddit. Gamergate politicized a lot of these people. The insult "cuck" is from the alt-right.

Hillary is an idiot to take them on. Lots of scary-smart people, who love to fight online and are very good at it. She's WAY out of her depth. My theory is she was put up to going after them by Sid Vicious (Blumenthal) and HRC's social media paid staff, who get absolutely massacred verbally online by the alt-right posters.

Wrong, it goes back much further than that, but it has hardly been noticed outside of cultish circles. I had hardly heard of it beyond occasional passing references until yesterday, but Milo wrote it up in March as I found when I searched about it:

I’m sorry - what’d you say?

alt-right has been around for years.

http://www.unz.com/article/the-decline-and-rise-of-the-alternative-right/

Milo Yiannopoulos, from Breitbart, brought alt-right to the attention of readers when he wrote at length about #Gamergate. He claimed video gaming had been taken over by feminazis aided by politically correct American tech bloggers. He became a sort of cult figure for alters and still is today.

It’s a main reason many ppl think he got banned (again) from Twitter, by Jack Dorsey personally. They were looking for a reason to get rid of him because Jack doesn’t like conservative gays who call him out - and Milo did all the time.

When (black) Leslie Jones got into it with Milo (who only criticized her flop movie Ghostbusters!) — they banned him and tried to associate it with “racism”.

The alt-right isn’t racist, but a quick search will show you dozens of pages of liberals trying to make that smear, and make it stick.

Hope this helps!

I assume those who haven't heard the term "alt-right" up until the last week or so, don't use Twitter. And no, Daily Kooks and Media Matters never coined the phrase.
