Yes indeed! Spray heavy with DDT and tell the UN and all others who object to "GET STUMP BROKE!"

In three years, I think we will find that Zika is messing up your brain on a long-term basis on top of these threats to pregnant women today. At that point, we will find smart kids who know the recipe to DDT, and buy the stuff to spray ourselves in various communities. I think Zika will be a bigger threat than HIV in the end.

What a strangely constructed sentence.

I think Zika will be a bigger threat than HIV in the end.
I don't think HIV ever was a threat except to the GLBT crowd and intravenous drug users.
But I agree, Zika may harbor more side effects that we won't discover until it's too late.

I saw that and I think an editor made a change but forgot to do some house cleaning.

“A team of researchers from Florida State University, Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health has found existing drug compounds that can both stop Zika from replicating in the body and from damaging the crucial fetal brain cells that lead to birth defects in newborns.
One of the drugs is already on the market as a treatment for tapeworm... One of the identified compounds is the basis for a drug called Nicolsamide, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved drug that showed no danger to pregnant women in animal studies. It is commonly used to treat tapeworm.”

Nicolsamide = Dog tape worm medication

Good news, but probably only if you catch the disease early on.

Anybody have any ideas how a Zika mosquito came to the US? For example, I go to a country that has the Zika’s and I get bit, get the virus, and then come back to the US. A mosquito (not infected) then bites me, does that mosquito get the virus from me? If so, then same thing can happen with any infected person coming from a Zika country? This could be scary for the entire country.

Way back when I was being educated on HIV/AIDS the instructor told us [the class] that one could not get HIV/AIDS from being bitten by a mosquito that had bitten an individual infected with the AIDS virus. Nut now they say one can get the Zika virus by bitten by a mosquito.
